Loved this Burmese restaurant in Downtown (they have a smaller location in Mission too). The tea salad was great but would get the fish sauce on the side. We also got a naan-type bread with a dipping sauce that was slightly life changing. All other dishes were great too! Service was outstanding. Tiger cocktail was really good. Family-Style sharing friendly restaurant. Would get reservations.

This was my first time trying Burmese food and my oh my was I thoroughly impressed by the flavors of the food! To start off, the interior of the restaurant was beautiful and the seating arrangements are perfectly set to support small parties and parties with 6+ people. The service was super attentive from the moment that we walked in, but we also arrived when it wasn’t super busy. As for the food, every dish was fantastic I and my party enjoyed the entrees that we ordered and we got 3 tea leaf salads to share amongst the 5 of us and my oh my I was thoroughly pleased with the freshness and flavor of the tea leaf salad. Definitely would come back with more friends if I’m ever in the area!

Burma Love had great food. We ordered Tea Leaf Salad and Spicy noodles, and enjoyed both the dishes. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good Burmese experience.

After I arrived in SF, I was waiting for my friend to arrive but I was hungry so I came here! I don’t think I’ve ever had Burmese food before but after going here I want to go to more Burmese restaurants. The spicy noodles with chicken was DELICIOUS! If I ever go back to SF, I would definitely go back to get that dish.

I’m a big fan of Burmese food and don’t have many Burmese restaurants where I live. So this was top of the list for me on my West Coast trip. This restaurant came highly recommended and we weren’t disappointed at all! We tried the Veg Samusa soup, platha and dip and Burmese fried rice. We loved all 3 dishes. Platha is similar to Indian paratha & Samusa is similar to Indian samosa. Heard from a friend about the tea leaf salad after my visit, so I intend to try that the next time. Friendly and quick service! Reservations are recommended. Restrooms are maintained clean. They have a good selection of cocktails as well. Even our Uber driver remarked that this is a popular restaurant, as we were getting off. Will recommend coming here.

Found Burma Love through Google maps, reviews were good and it was tucked into a back street. Staff were welcoming with good advice for what to order as Newcomers. Fernando at the bar was attentive and friendly. Loved it and we will return!

The best food I have had in SF so far ! The black rice pudding and the Platha dessert are a must try. So save some room for the desserts.

Really really good! We have never tried Burmese food before and everything we ordered was amazing. To start we got the Tea Leaf Salad, as many had suggested and well it might have been the best salad we have ever had in our lives! Super flavorful and a lot of different texture elements that definitely enhanced the salad. Then I got the Garlic Noodles with shrimp (Gluten free) and my fiancé got the Sour Leaf Shrimp with a side of coconut rice! The garlic noodles were very tasty and actually full of garlic (which I Loved!). The sour leaf shrimp was also good, the flavors were a bit more eclectic but we still enjoyed it. Lastly the coconut rice was a bit sweet but the texture and flavor was amazing! I’m so glad we got to come here during our limited time in the area! The vibes were really nice and even though there was a wait for my fiancés meal, it was worth it.

Not recommended unless planning to only have the tealeaf salad and a cocktail, which were admittedly very good. Otherwise, the Burma curry with catfish was an accident waiting to happen with tiny bones left everywhere within fish pieces – I was literally afraid to put the bite in my mouth. Similar curry with prawn was just packed with onion and tomato. The eggplant prawn meal was unimpressive for the price and so were the otherwise tasty sounding desserts. The vibe was decent but the food just ruined everything. Lers Ros Thai has better food at cheaper prices (no cocktails/ambience though).
