Twas a cold dreary winter day, not wanting to prepare a meal in the home I decided to venture out with my friend Johnathan. We had seen the bubbakoos parking lot was nicely plowed. We than decided to enter in the establishment of which was clean and well kempt. Upon arriving to the counter I was greeted by a girl named Emily very friendly and attentive and just loaded by bowl up with chicken way better than chipotle… thanks a lot Emily!!!

Chicken tacos are good. Wouldn’t recommend the shrimp tacos because they only put 3 tiny little pieces of shrimp on each taco. Everything was fresh. Good good for the price. Would definitely come eat here again.

this is one of the most FOUL things i’ve ever seen. the wing sauce looks & smells expired? wasn’t normal for sure. it also came cold & rock hard. i live only 5 minutes away from this location so i don’t understand how it arrived freezing. i’ve gotten food from here before, i love bubbakoos but nothing has ever looked like this. i know that this is a chain so im not expecting a 5 star dining experience but food shouldn’t EVER be served out looking like this.

My wife and I frequently purchase burrito bowls from the Bubbakoos in Bayville, NJ.
But after tonight, we will never go back there again.
They kept running out of things that I wanted in my burrito bowl, so it took forever to get the burrito bowl made. On top of that, when they ran out of the chicken that I wanted, they didn’t bother to go get more…. And I ended up with barely a tablespoon of chicken in my entire burrito bowl. I couldn’t believe that they would rip me off like that. When I got up to the register I mentioned that there was not enough chicken in my burrito bowl, not nearly the usual amount, but the guy just apologized and asked me for the money.
No one tried to offer to add more chicken or just give me more on the side.
I went home and after my wife examined the burrito bowl and realized that there was barely any chicken in it, and also realized that my side of sour cream wasn’t even half full, she called Bubbakoos and asked to speak with the manager.
The manager said that he was the kid that took the order and filled it, and that he gave us the right amount of chicken, which of course was not true. Then the manager said that he tried to follow me out of the store to offer me more chicken, totally contradicting what he just said about there being enough chicken. He kept contradicting himself, one minute saying that he tried to run after me which he did not do, but prior to that saying that I had enough chicken. My leg was injured so I was walking very slowly and he had plenty of time to follow me. My wife does not tolerate liars, so she told him we would not go there anymore…. They just lost customers. And she said goodbye and hung up. We feel that the manager did a very poor job of handling a situation that he could have been turned around very easily. His name was Ken. Ken does not belong in restaurant customer service if that’s how he handles a small little easily fixable problem like that.

Portions have gone WAY DOWN on taco salads too. Doesnt even fill the bowl. Shrinkflation… goto surf taco. Trust me. Way better service. They are losing customers here. Ohh well.

I am soo upset with the quality of food that was given to me in my order. For the amount of money I spent one would expect their food to be good. My husband and I both noticed that the food quality was poor , the rice was undercooked and hard, there was barely any protein in our food and our order was overall garbage. If it had not been close to closing I would’ve tooken my food back for a refund. This saddens me because I usually get and excellent meal. For the staff that was there for the night shift on July 23rd please do better and take people’s order more seriously my money was truly wasted.

Bubbakoos has been a favorite of mine for years now but I had stopped going a few years ago after the management and staff made the environment hostile and food was subpar. Things have definitely changed as of recent with the new hires and it shows! Food is back to great quality. The restaurant is clean. Environment is friendly and welcoming. The team members have definitely stepped up their game! If you’ve had a bad experience in the past, it’s time to give them a second chance because they definitely deserve it!
