We decided to try this local gem after checking to see if there was a Filipino restaurant in the West Valley. To our surprise, we saw Backstreet Asia in our area, and our family decided to give it a try. To our delight, we had elite level of service and the food was excellent. It was definitely a step up from other restaurants in the valley, and we were happy to support local owners! The owner/chef came out to chat with us and tell us about her history and the history of the restaurant. Keep up the great work and making us feel welcome! Maraming salamat!

Wow what a gem! We came across this place by accident and I am SO glad we did! We spent a good hour and a half talking to Chef Lin and her son and enjoying her delicious food and drinking a red horse beer they have awesome events and karaoke and comedy shows and even a 1st Friday style even coming soon! My husband loved her hot sauce and the flavors of the food were so good. The bar is very nice and all the details were very lovely. I can’t wait to bring our friends here for a night out and I’ll be telling everyone what a wonderful place this is! Anywhere can have good food, but her service made it 100 awesome.

Very nice new Filipino restaurant. Great food and friendly owners. Restaurant is still new and kitchen being expanded but very clean and signage on the outside is coming. Karaoke night on Friday’s. Best Filipino food is the Valley.

I have been meaning to get to Backstreet Asia since it opened – was hard to make it out to the West side. Super happy I…1) got to try the food, and 2) expose my friends to Filipino food. We ate family style to ensure they got to taste each dish.

We visited a friend in Avondale and had dinner at Backstreet Asia. The owner was the one who entertained us and took our orders. It was also the owner, Lindsay who prepared all our orders. We ordered Igado ( sauce was so good), daing na bangus, crispy pata (super crispy skin) and sinigang na hipon (Super delicious tamarind soup). All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant to people who would want to explore Filipino foods. Chef Lindsay’s experience in food preparation can bring your orders on your table in a very short waiting time. I give it a 5!

Looking for a home cook style dish? This is the place. Finally a Filipino restaurant in the West Valley. Pork sinigang was tender, fall of the bone and just enough tang. Sizzling sisig hit the spot w/ some chili! Just enough flavors and spices.

My family and I finally found a restaurant that is inclusive. We have a 4yo autistic eater and he tried all the food that we ordered. His favorite was the lechon kawali. The food was tender, tasty and well-balanced. Chef Lin is awesome. She uses fresh, healthy ingredients and seasoning that will make your body do a happy dance. The environment was calm, which helped our son feel comfortable enough to eat. We ordered lumpia, lechon kawali, longaniza with garlic fried rice, pork sisigi with garlic fried rice and a side of French fries. Chef Lin’s fried rice was very tasty and not oily. All of her food was great.

It was decent Filipino food. Not worth the price in my opinion but maybe it was cause I did a to go order? I don’t know how big the plate is if you dine in but the restaurant has a good atmosphere in there. Karaoke at night if that’s your thing.

While visiting from out of state, we really wanted a taste of home. A few friends suggested Backstreet Asia where they did NOT disappoint!! The variety of options of dishes and the freshness of the food deserves a repeat visit. The staff was attentive & kind and atmosphere was very inviting. Definitely making this stop again, when we’re in town!
