The food was DELICIOUS I had the honey barbecue chicken sandwich the chicken was very crispy and tasty the honey barbecue sauce gave the sandwich a rich and sweet taste! I loved it ❤️ they also gave me fries which were perfectly seasoned and for dessert we had the teramisu and it did not disappoint!! The staff were so nice and sweet they sat us down next to the window with the most beautiful view of the mountain and pool!! I would definitely recommend and I will be returning soon

Came in for breakfast and was fairly disappointed. We chose to get food from the buffet for breakfast and felt pretty ripped off. French toast was pretty stale but okay. I liked the little jars that the syrup came in. Oatmeal was great and potatoes were good. Most of the bread and rolls were hard and stale. Options also seemed limited for the price we were paying.

Had lunch there today with family who had never been to La Paloma. The entire resort needs a refresh badly but the service and food at Azul was particularly horrible. No ice tea refills, slow service, and a $20 chicken sandwich that was dark meat and “parts”. It was disgusting. Very disappointed. $116 for a salad, two sandwiches and two cocktails. Jack in the Box would have been much better!

We have Ambasssdor status w/Marriott, and have given this restaurant multiple chances on various visits, hoping they were just having an “off” day. They have always failed, so we will no longer attempt to dine here as a result. They have limited options, are unwilling to accommodate their guests, and don’t really have youth friendly food options. This is a problem for a resort that we otherwise enjoy.

I wasn’t impressed. I ordered the Green Tamale pie, not very flavorful. I asked for a drink that was IG post worthy (it wasn’t). I expected more from a resort. Also, the ceiling fell through after the rainstorm right next to us. I felt bad for the table of people who were covered in water from that. Again, why is your roof caving in Azul? Dont you keep up with inspections? Service was slow, but friendly. The views were great from our window seating. I don’t recommend this restaurant for their food, especially for the price!

I would give it a 5, but when you notice after paying that you got charged for a beer that was out of stock and you change it for a different brand beer. I brought the issue the next morning during breakfast and the manager told me all refunds need to go thru the accounting department. Manager took pictures of my receipt depicting the 8 dollar charge for the beer took my info and told me I would get a call on Monday. Well is almost three weeks withou no phonecall or email. Even tough is 8 dollars, honesty is a plus. I also sent a message on FB page and no reply. So service now gets a 1☆

I have been to the resort multiple times for my job, always I enter through the service entrance for delivery, the people their, the security, the cleaning personnel and other staff, are kind and respectful, which is already a big clue on how well they will treat their customers. So fast forward to me being a customer. Going on a date to the Azul, was an amazing idea! The view was breathtaking, the food was more than what was expected. Beautifully crafted and displayed. The appetizers alone could make you want more, the salmon was prepared carefully and fresh as if just caught. The dessert however, was a dense, expertly crafted, expresso cake with a nice chocolate egg and amazing sauce. The bitterness weighed against the extreme sweetness came into a marriage of extreme delight. The food, beyond a shadow of a doubt was royalty worthy, but, I always like to judge the customer service and experience. Which if I could would rate Azul’s higher if able. With out plea, our waiter turned on the out door heater and fire wall, was kind and had great small talk, was diligent and amazing plating skill. I’d I had to recommend a tipping status, I would say start at 50%, the service is much more worthy than a lowly avg. of 15%. I will be visiting again!
