This place is awesome . Many years ago, growing up here in Colorado, my family and I used to go to this restaurant only it was the one in Arvada, and we went all the time. We made it a weekly dinner with the family night out meeting place. Finding out that this Armadillo La Salle is open and operates still under the same family is a wonderful and pleasant find They have a wonderful selection and even have some of the same menu items from years ago… The staff and management we’re on top of their game not only that they had 55 cent margaritas. End the staff didn’t even mind that my family and I were there for hours… This place has great chips and salsa. Their fried ice cream is wonderful. They have plenty of parking. They are off the beaten path a little bit but definitely worth the drive if you are looking for authentic Mexican food. I would truly suggest this place if you are looking for a great place to take family, friends or business acquaintances.., This is a great option ❤️❤️

A great restaurant. Being a Texan I am picky about “TexMex” food. This is the closest I have come to authentic Tex Mex. Loved the cheese enchiladas with authentic enchilada sauce. Wonderful, prompt service from a sweet waitress. I loved this restaurant. Will definitely return.

I grew up going to the Pueblo location so I was surprised to learn there was another location in Northern Co, 15 minutes away from me. The food and service here is awesome, I really have no complaints. Cost isn’t ridiculous either. I would recommend it to anyone that loves Mexican food.

Service was extremely slow. Took almost an hour to get our food after being seated. Food was good overall but not hot like it had been waiting for a while to be taken to our table. Chips and Salsa were nothing special. I don’t like to write bad reviews. This place has been on my “I want to go” list for several years after finding it on Google and reading reviews, but sadly we could have driven home to Loveland, ordered, and had our food in less time at 3 Margaritas. There’s another place in La Salle we might try next time we’re through at lunch.

Been awhile since we have been. Used to go all the time years ago until we moved far away. Everything was amazing. Took some time to get the food after order but it was so worth it. Grilled chicken burritos smothered in jalepeno cream sauce. Definitely be back again soon. Have to try to keep good old restaurants like this in business!!

This restaurant was such an amazing surprise. My family randomly found this place while looking for somewhere to eat before going to a haunted maze and now we plan on going back much more often. The food was absolutely delicious and greatly portioned. And the margaritas! I can EASILY say that the margaritas here are some of the best I’ve had. Most other restaurants are too syrupy and are not refreshing at all. But these were Perfect. The best part? The price. We had a party of 9 adults and two kids and the bill came out to only about $270 for all of it. I can’t wait to go back.

The food is amazing! I really miss the Armadillo here in Fort Collins, but this is the next best thing. Staff and bartender were extremely friendly and very attentive. We originally had a party of 13 and go figure that people would cancel on us last minute. However, staff was amazing to us and we made it work. Thank you! We will be back again, even though it was a drive for us to get there.

I love this place. As a Colorado native, I watched these fabulous restaurants disappear one by one from our wonderful state. Each time, I would drive a little farther to get my Combo #5. The salsa is literally the best chips and salsa salsa of all time. Sure, other salsas might be good at other things, but for eating chips and salsa, this one is the best. I should start buying it by the gallon or something. Is the food authentic? I don’t know. It’s Colorado Mexican food authentic and that’s all that matters to me. I’m a #5 combo kind of Mexican food diner (also Chinese food) and this ticks all those boxes. Glorious, delcious burritos without a grain of rice inside them trying to make them bigger for pennies. Nope, beans, beef, and chicken. The crisy rellanos are also perfectly on point. Never a sour chile, never a poorly filled cheese disapoinment. I live in Denver and make up excuses to come here. Anytime my life takes me North of Highway 34, I go to Armadillo. My family sighs at me, but they always come with. Always. If you end up in this neck of the woods, go eat at Armadillo. Eat your body weight in chips and salsa, order a combo #5 and tip big. You’re welcome.
