Archie Moore’s New Haven

  4.4 – 974 reviews  $$ • Bar

History shows Archibald Moore — an Irish immigrant — settled in New Haven and established a watering hole on Willow Street in 1898 (original liquor license pictured above.) A succession of taverns remained in this location for nearly a century, but it wasn’t until 1982 when Archie’s served up its award-winning buffalo chicken wings to Connecticut for the first time. Four locations, countless accolades and over 10 million wings later, Archie Moore’s has become Connecticut’s neighborhood bar and restaurant. You can find our famous Buffalo Wing Sauce online and in stores across New England, or pick up a bottle at your neighborhood Archie Moore’s.

Chicken wings & other casual bites anchor this chain American eatery with Coca-Cola-themed decor.

Loved this place. Cute theme, fabulous wings and lobster roll, reasonable prices, and Diane, our server, made it all the much better.

Small but good energy. Drinks were good. My friends were a little disappointed with the boneless wings, but the fried pickles were good! I will definitely try the bone-in wings next time I go.

I’m starting to become a regular here! Mostly pop in after work to meet friends & coworkers, but I’m getting to know the other regulars. Good people all around with a pleasant atmosphere.

Wonderful experience. Staff was knowledgeable and had perfect beer recommendations. Wings were made perfectly. Kind server even let me sample the 2 sauces i wanted when i couldn’t decide. All their locations are decent but this one is has the best team, ambiance’s & food quality.

Surprisingly poor experience last night. Normally a big fan of Archie’s – specifically the Wallingford location – but now I don’t plan on going back.

Great little neighborhood bar and restaurant. Loved the staff. They were such a pleasure to have served our large group. The food was pretty amazing and id love to go back and try more items from the menu!

This location was a lot smaller then other Archie Moore’s but the quality of food remains the same. Staff was very friendly and answered all our questions about the menu and even offered suggestions on which drinks to get. I would go to this Archie Moore’s again but maybe not on a busy weekend unless I want to wait for a table

I’m not sure what is going on here. The last few times I have been here, the wings have either been so soaked or so overcooked that they were barely edible. Consistency seems to be a major problem here. If they do not fix this, they will not last much longer.
