An old school ice cream shop but not really worth it with the rude service… but if you can stomach rudeness from the owners I guess it’s worth the trip. The 5 stars is for the ice cream…not the service.

This place doubles as a convenience store for the neighborhood, but I wouldn’t trust buying any of the food here as it looks super unorganized, and I would bet many of it would be expired, especially the candy

The owner (lady sitting down in a chair) offered to sell me the store, she says that she has owned it for many years, but I won’t be back. Her rude attitude was a big turn off. The ice cream is great but not worth another trip unless I’m in the area.

I enjoyed the ice cream choice that I got which was cookies and cream in a cup. The gentleman that assisted us was quiet and polite. The white lady that sits behind the counter heavyset is rude and ignores you If you ask a question. I will not be returning with my family to be treated poorly as a customer.

I’m unsure of why this place was reference as a staple in the city or some sort of must have‼️

This place is a dump‼️

Where do I start they never had anywhere near 50 flavors of ice cream‼️

Not to mention they, don’t sale hot fudge. At a ice cream parlor ‼️

I should have known better when I saw the sign on the door stating we accept EBT.. only 4 people allowed in store at a time‼️

My wife grew up in STL and raved about the Velvet Freeze Gold Coast Chocolate. She thought Velvet Freeze was gone forever. I found that there was one store still open and surprised her and her family by sneaking out and picking up a bunch and brought it home. All agreed it was exactly as good as they remembered. They had not had velvet freeze in close to 40 years. Truly a rare gem in St. Louis, and a must go for anyone.
