Mmmmm, I didn’t know Arkansas could make BBQ almost like Texas, very good, nice atmosphere. We ate outside under the trees on a picnic table with a cool breeze even during heat advisories across the nation, and because our dog was with us. But the ambiance inside was very nice too, well decorated with interesting things, and my wife even said the bathroom was so nice she wanted some of the decor items, woodwork, etc for one of our cabins. Anyway, it’s quite comfortable with good food, and if you like BBQ this would be a good place to visit!

Such a fun place! Busy, but efficient. Price is reasonable, food outstanding. I had the MacDaddy with brisket and a jalapeño sausage. Delish!

I stopped by on the recommendations of a client who lives nearby. I had a chopped beef sandwich with coleslaw. The bread was a bit stale and the beef didn’t have that smokey BBQ flavor, but, it was good nonetheless. The coleslaw was fresh and was really good. The staff was upbeat and very friendly. I had a pleasant experience.

Do not sleep on these guys… I was making my rounds in Arkadelphia and was referred to Allen’s BBQ. I’m a rib man so I had to see what they’re about. The pound of ribs (3 spare ribs, to be exact) came to about $14, after tax. Also, I grabbed the “Mac Daddy,” a combination of Mac and cheese, baked beans, pulled pork, bbq sauce, all topped with cheddar cheese. It was good (not the greatest BBQ Mac I’ve had) but I came for the ribs and I wasn’t disappointed! They were seasoned, they were smoked, they weren’t overcooked. I always order ribs naked to make sure they hold up and not relying on the sauce. They hold up. I will be back… Good job, Allen’s

Saw the sign so I took a chance and I’m glad I did. A small off the beaten path BBQ joint with great service and awesome barbecue. I had the half chicken with the beans and the Cole slaw. Did I mention the beans have chopped brisket in them? Yeah, they do! Cole slaw was surprisingly good. Brisket had a nice smoke line and wasn’t dry or chewy. I’ll definitely stop through here again on my next trip to Little Rock.

Excellent food, very clean and fast service. Really like this place. Parking is a little odd, but don’t let that discourage you from eating here.

Allen’s is situated in an old gas station dating to the mid-20th century. It’s nicely restored as a walk-up. A dining room has been added. It’s a nice rural place to pick up a BBQ sandwich, ribs, or plate. Staff are helpful and friendly. You do a lot of your own service, and it’s part of the enjoyment. Serving size is generous, and the taste is good. I like extra sauce, but I have to avoid dripping all over my clothes, so I order extra on the side. Be sure to catch a selfie with the deer on the porch. He’s friendly, too.

It’s more a drive in atmosphere then a restaurant but the food was really good. You order from the window, find a seat, then they bring out the food .

We are learning that the popular way of getting bbq beef in Arkansas is chopped and between two pieces of bread. Which leads us to believe there’s really not much smoking going on. Sausage tastes like it came from the grocery store. Stop here if your to hungry to wait for something else. Sauce it til it tastes good.
