This historic building is perfect setting for this barbecue restaurant. The food and the people here are experienced and wonderful. The best ribs have ever had and the brisket was delicious. Just delicious. We Ordered the banana pudding for dessert and it was silky and sweet and just perfect. It’s also right off the interstate so it’s easy off easy on and you can be back on your way. Prices are extremely reasonable.

My husband and I shared the Ultimate ( I believe) Nachos with beef. They had slaw, pulled beef, beans, and lots of other yummies. It was delicious! Also had banana pudding for dessert. It was tasty all around. Decent prices, friendly staff. Location is small and has limited seating in the AC but it was quite refreshing considering it was smoldering outside. A quick repreave from the heat. Try it!

The ribs were edible but not delicious. The beans were great. We were headed north of here and it was lunch time we were in the mood for barbecue so googled this locale. It filled the hole but we wouldn’t choose it again.
Stopped by here to see if maybe the last time was just a bad smoker day but no it was the same. beans and coleslaw are great. The ribs are just edible. Will fill a spot if hungry! Aug 28th Thursday 2025

I ordered 2 ultimate baked potatoes with pulled pork. What was there was good but one had no slaw and I found maybe a tablespoon of beans and maybe a teaspoon of cheese. There was about 4 good bites of pork. For $30 it was a huge disappointment

Got the Ultimate Nachos. Huge portion, very good. Set up in the restaurant was slightly odd. After we gave our order at the front window, we were handed cups but given no direction. You had to walk around the corner and go to a door labeled dining room. Once we figured that out, it was just a matter of winding through and finding a seat. I would go back.

We’ve visited Allen’s twice in 2 years, each time while passing through. We have really enjoyed their BBQ both times… It’s hard to find a place that is tasty and consistent in their meats!
Our recent visit, we had the pork belly sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, pork ribs, coleslaw, and mac and cheese! They were all great! Would definitely recommend a stop here if you’re passing through!

Do not sleep on these guys… I was making my rounds in Arkadelphia and was referred to Allen’s BBQ. I’m a rib man so I had to see what they’re about. The pound of ribs (3 spare ribs, to be exact) came to about $14, after tax. Also, I grabbed the “Mac Daddy,” a combination of Mac and cheese, baked beans, pulled pork, bbq sauce, all topped with cheddar cheese. It was good (not the greatest BBQ Mac I’ve had) but I came for the ribs and I wasn’t disappointed! They were seasoned, they were smoked, they weren’t overcooked. I always order ribs naked to make sure they hold up and not relying on the sauce. They hold up. I will be back… Good job, Allen’s

I stopped by on the recommendations of a client who lives nearby. I had a chopped beef sandwich with coleslaw. The bread was a bit stale and the beef didn’t have that smokey BBQ flavor, but, it was good nonetheless. The coleslaw was fresh and was really good. The staff was upbeat and very friendly. I had a pleasant experience.
