A mixed experience. On the plus side was the chicken with flavorful char and the accompanying tomato/cream sauce quite tasty. The mango lassi was also splendid. On the down side was the non-creamy and overly chilli-peppered Palak paneer. Also, the lentils tasted almost like Mexican refried beans instead of the tadka dhal I would expect with a thali menu. The garlic naan was also a bit too crisp.

Good food. Quick fast casual dining experience. I would come again the next time im in the area. I would consider portion size on the smaller side for the proteins but probably a good thing in terms of ones health, but not value.

I love Zareen’s and the food is authentic as it gets. I’ve visited both the Redwood location and the Mountain View location, and definitely prefer the sit down version (the food is consistent for both). My go to is tikka masala. You can taste the char in the chicken and the spices in the sauce is just puuuurrrrfect. The atmosphere is great and customer service is really nice even though the set up is kind of like “Indian fast food.” They actually come over and check if you like your food, etc. Love this restaurant and will definitely come back.

Clean and spacious, with a very welcoming ambiance. You order at the counter. They deliver the food to your table. We ordered a few dishes. Overall impression of the food was good but not exceptional. The food in the Palo Alto location tasted better.

Ideal family spot for the weekend. Nice neighborhood to walk with lots of restaurants shops, salons and movie theaters. Ample public parking. This is my third zareen location I have been to. I have to say this is the best one overall. Traditional Pakistani and Indian food. Good Thali options for veg and non veg. The weekend you must try the beef nihari with tandoor naan. The naan sucks up the gelatinous gravy of the nihari. Best time to eat it is during cold days. The next best dish I would try to lamb bhuna with paratha. There are few unique dishes here rarely found in other restaurants. A must try. Staff are kind and friendly. They have nice self check out kiosk system. It works well. Weekend extremely packed between 12:30 to 2:30 pm. After 2:30 pm crowd dies down. I always take a late lunch when I go zareens. There is out door and indoor seating.

I had the Friday special Chicken Biryani! Amazing quality. It was incredibly flavorful with spices that blend amazingly together (not necessarily a spicy dish). It comes with a yogurt sauce on the side that adds a nice creamy texture and flavor to the mix that balances out the spices. The portion size is perfect. This was my first meal of the day and I ended up taking some home Definitely coming back 🙂 3 stars for atmosphere because the eating area kind of felt like a cafeteria.

Everything was so yummy! We ordered the Chapli kebab , chicken boti, lamb kharahi and it was delicious. We also loved the sweet kheer along with chai !! Staff was extremely kind
