I’ve been coming to this place since I was a child and it feels like home to me. If there’s one word I would use to describe this location it’s consistent. The food is hot, flavorful, juicy and excellent every single time. The portions are also more than generous. Authentic taste at unbeatable prices! I’ve taken all those closest in my life here and they fall in love with it as well. The inside is smaller but cozy and definitely has that mom and pop feel where you know you’re in store for a great meal. Service is thorough, quick & attentive. The same waitresses have been working here for years and have served me since I was a kid. Some must try’s are their bistec a la plancha de pollo, bistec empanizado, congri, tostones and mofungo. If you’re looking for a meal that not only feeds your body but also your soul, Centro Latino got you. (Yes…. I’m that passionate about this place)!

We ordered for a group of 6 – 8 people. Cuban, Steak and Croqueta Sandwiches along with side orders of Beef Empanadas and Croquetas. Unfortunately, the quality and taste of the food wasn’t the same as previously experienced. Croquetas were huge, however, it was mostly bland filler; the taste of a main ingredient (ham) was missing. I specifically asked for the lettuce and tomatoes on the steak sandwiches to be put on the side so the bread wouldn’t get soggy; those instructions were ignored. Beef empanadas varied – some seem fried with clean oil while others seem like the oil had been over used.

In the past my family and I have come here to eat. The food has always been pretty good. However, the past two years there has been a decline in the service and food. Today 1-28-23 we thought we give it another chance and we othered our food for home delivery. My wife got stuff strips and I had chicken and garlic sauce with rice and plantains. After the second bite, It was so disgusting we threw the whole two meals away. This hasn’t been the first time we’ve ordered, and we’ve had to throw the food away. Imagine that, we just spent our harder earn money for nothing and to just throw it into the garbage can. It’s unfortunate…because we like to support local businesses, but they’ve gone from good too extremely bad !!!!! Hope your restaurant can get it together but we’re not coming back!

So I used to eat from this place like 8 years ago or so and I found the food the most delicious in the area with great service. I moved out so I didn’t eat from there again. Last week I visited someone who lives in west new York and I was excited to eat from Centro Latino again. I ordered delivery. I was so excited I ordered all my favorite dishes from 8 years back. They told me 45mns for delivery, it came like 15mns late. Then one item was missing, I called and asked for a refund of the item. They said yes. I’ts been a week and never got the refund. As for the food, it was sooo bad not even my kids wanted to eat. The quality in food and service has gone down so much I have to give 1 star because none of us enjoyed the food, most of it went to the trash, one item was missing, delivery came late and they didn’t fulfill the refund they said they were going to give me. What a shame.

I always liked this place because it’s convenient. You order the food and go. But, on my recent stop there I paid with my card. I did not leave any tip and when the final charge went through to my bank account there were $3.55 added to my final payment. I am sure they probably think most people don’t even bother to check their accounts and thus they get away with adding whatever amounts they please. Well, I am not one of those people. I check my charges on my account. When I realized they had charged me more I called them. They told me I had written down a gratuity for $3.55 which is a lie! I know I didn’t do that. I called my bank and they will investigate. People watch your bank charges. Especially with this place. What a sham! I will never go here again!!!
