First off “GO BIRDS!!!!”. Now that that’s out of the way. Yo Philly is the real deal (other than physically being in Philly). Good food, great service, phenomenal atmosphere. I grew up in the burbs outside Northeast Philadelphia and worked in a Pizza shop while in high school (a few decades ago). Life has taken me to a few places around the world and this shop is awesome. Yo Nick (and team) keep up the legacy, the good food and the great service.

So, my girlfriend and I live in San Antonio and sometimes we take little day trips to Corpus Beach when we’re both off of work. We had passed this place before and it caught my eye, but we never stopped in. We decided today to give it a shot and man oh MAN. This is a MUST for anyone in the area. Best Cheesesteak we’ve had in South Texas. Perfectly seasoned fries. Large portion size. The dude working the line was super cool and friendly. Really fun decor and atmosphere. Overall, I just wish there was a 6 star option. A new must stop place for us when in the area.

In my area we have a guy that is the king of the Philly Cheese Steak. I believe these guys might be related Well well well … we stepped in to see what this place had and it was all that and more. The staff was nice. The food was good and the cooks were great people. I feel bad saying this but I think this guy takes the crown for the meanest cheese steak around. I wish I could have taken a picture of my food when I first got it but I had already ate one half of the sandwich before I took the picture. I will definitely be coming back when I’m in the area.

An absolute must! Food was fantastic and the service/staff are so nice and welcoming. I got the Philly Special and couldn’t finish it, it was loaded and delicious. Cannoli were so good too! My favorite part of course was all the Philadelphia memorabilia Go Birds!

This place is THE BEST! As soon as we walked in we were greeted immediately as with everyone else that walked in after us. The food came out as we were getting our drinks and before we even sat down and it was delicious. Fries were hot and crispy, bread was toasted, cheese was melted. Best meal we had in Corpus Christi during our entire trip!

4 out 5 and only because the cashier told me after waiting for several mins that I would just simply have to wait because there was a big group before we arrived…. IDC please just take my order and I will wait patiently. It sounded like their 50 spent better than my 50. Ok cool. I ordered an original cheesesteak with fries. My kids spilt a pizza. The sandwich came out 4 mins prior to the pizza. I waited to eat with my children. Everything was very fresh and authentic in East coast flavor. Thumbs up all around. The table and floors were dirty. It probably would be helpful to hire a runner busser to maintain cleanliness. Other than that great food will definitely be back when in town.

My spouse comes to Corpus Christi quite a few times for work and always talks about Yo’s Philly. I came down with him this time, I got the roast beef (but with Philly cheese steak meat) Delicious!! The owner is very friendly and the atmosphere is great! Definitely will be back!
