It’s a small diner, in a relatively small town. Ok food, definitely not delicious. Ok service. The pancakes had lots of black specks of grill residue on them. We tried omelettes, pancakes and mac and cheese. Everything was average or slightly below average. Mac and cheese was lacking flavor. Omelette was greasy. The fruit was pretty good. However something that I had here upset my stomach very badly. In the context that there may be fewer local options to choose from compared to a larger city, I can understand why others rated it more favorably. Not a place I would visit again. Server was nice.

What wonderful restaurant. I enjoyed the 3 egg and corned beef hash breakfast. I ordered it with “King style” pancakes and Mama potatoes. My meal was to die for! The flavors were amazing and everything was cooked perfectly. This was the best breakfast I have had in a very long time. My waitress Victoria was superb. So very sweet and helpful. The other wait staff was amazing also. My coffe cup never emptied,and every one was so pleasant. YO Mamas is my new go to restaurant when I am in the Portage/LakeStation/Hobart area. Can’t wait for my next visit…..I gonna take The King ! Great job to everyone.

This is the most amazing establishment! My service was impeccable. I was greeted with a smile and a water. The food was astonishing I consider myself a regular now! Shout out to the owner Karen for her hard working spirit and for treating me like family. 20/10 highly recommend!

After visiting for my very first time I am really surprised about the high stars it receives. Pros the waitress was super nice and the prices are fair . Cons the building smells like burnt bacon really bad . The floors tables and chairs were filthy . The food below average “mama potatoes “ were undercooked and rubber with the smell of smoke . The biscuits were so dry and hard I did have to ask for a new one . After 15 min getting a new one it was fresh and hot the gravy was good but the biscuit is more of a muffin texture . I would not return.

Amazing homestyle southern style diner. The best breakfast I have had in a long time. The loaded Biscuit bowl with chorizo I had. One buddy had the loaded French toast and another the southern chicken breakfast.. all of left stuffed and happy as can be. Would def recommend and anyone who says anything else does not know good food. DAVE and the wait staff rocked as well

Shannon was our server. She is top notch. Very friendly and accommodating. Food was good. Big servings. Breakfast Gravy is sinful. Mamma potatoes a little under done. Will definitely be back.

The experience here was amazing. Comfort food and very comforting service. It wasn’t hectic but our food came so fast. We ordered a turkey Rueben and the turkey was very fresh.
