Stopped in today with my wife. Ordered a couple of beers. Two red beers. He brings me these amber red ales. Not what I was expecting. He asked for my card ran it and handed it back and said thx. I said hold up bro, do you know what I mean when I say a red beer, he said he gave us one. I calmly explained that I wanted some glasses and some tomato juice to mix with the beer. He made a noise and took off. Seemed irritated for some reason. The beer wasn’t good, especially with tomato juice! Just nasty. I would have gotten different beers but he opened them in front of us before I could say something. The bar was dark, so we sat outside. Don’t think that I’ll be back as there are a lot of better choices nearby.

Such a fun place!! Great atmosphere, great staff, great drinks, etc…. Definitely a safe, LGBTQIA+ friendly place to relax and have fun! The Malibu Barbie was delicious and so was the strawberry blonde beer. We had dinner earlier or we would have tried the food too. Stop here if you want a fun welcoming place with great drinks!!

We just had the most epic night at an amazing LGBTQ+ bar in Astoria. I had heard so many good things about Xanadu but it wasn’t until I was able to experience it myself did realize the magic. The environment is super inclusive with all kinds of folks. We went with a group of friends and were immediately made comfortable by the super friendly staff. The bar is extensive and they have great cocktails. They also had mocktails and non-alcohol drinks for our non alcohol friends. The karaoke was amazing and was hosted with so much positive energy. And the best part is that they have a full kitchen that had takeout. So we were able to get late night snacks as well which is hard to find in Astoria. Best gay bar experience in a long time!

My sister rocked the house at karaoke, breakfast was sooooo good! Best bacon on the planet! I’ve been around it a few times so I might know? Definitely the best pizza in Astoria according to my belly! ❤️

Not only did I have the best drinks in a comfortable place as visitors but we met another couple that had been together for 38 years. This space goes above and beyond the definition of safe space. There were regulars. People reading books and travelers. It’s a watering hole for all!. Thank you.
