From the outside, it doesn’t look like anything special, but this sushi was incredible. Our waiter, Tyson, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had the bourbon old fashioned with angel envy, and my hubby had a spicy margarita. We ate a tuna appetizer, Christine roll, and Godzilla roll. All were insane good.

The food and service were almost as dark and dreary as the restaurant itself. The rolls were clearly frozen and not really well made. On top of the quality of the food, while the service was nice it was overbearing; sneaking from behind to add additional water in a glass that had only two sips out of the top. Over priced and definitely a skip the next time for a sushi night.

My waitress was amazing. Super friendly and attentive. Made excellent recommendations. The owner was also very friendly and nice. I had the gyoza appetizer (ask for pan seared!) and the thin sliced beef wrapped in green onion on top of a delicious ginger salad. The sauce is very authentic. After I ate the beef and salad, I poured the sauce over the rice. It was perfect. I also got the sukiyaki sliced beef noodle soup. It was filled with tofu and veggies and shitake mushroom. The broth is excellent. For Japanese entrees like noodle/soup this place is the absolute best and most authentic in Naperville. The noodles/soup only served during dinner. I would return to try the nabeyaki udon next for dinner. And during lunch I will probably get the NY Strip entree or one of the katsu rice. If you are looking for quality authentic entrees, this is the spot in Naperville.

Lots of rolls to choose from but a lot were spicy. No kids menu. The glazed sweet miso salmon was very salty. But the cook on the fish was perfect temperature. Wait staff was very nice and attentive. There is covered outdoor seating. Also lots of options for sushi/sashimi. Restroom was clean. I recommend this place. Read the rolls before you go

First time here, plus first time eating sushi since moving to Naperville from Oregon. I was a little worried that fish wouldn’t taste as fresh as living near the ocean. But it was good and service was excellent. Prices are higher here, maybe because fish has to come from farther away? It’s a very nice little restaurant with a well stocked bar.

A quintessential staple in the Naperville dining scene. Have been going here for over a decade and it’s been exciting to see them continuously grow. Hands down some of THE best cuts of sashimi in Chicagoland. Delightful array of classic and creative rolls. Incredible owners, very personable and makes you feel like family which shows through the loyal customer base any night of the week. Always outstanding service. Don’t forget to try Gene’s Mai Tai, a classic.

First time here, the restaurant is super clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Service was fast and friendly. The miso soup was delicious, the spicy miso was a miss, it had no flavor. All we had were 3 rolls and they were all very good. Will definitely be back to try more options

I went here by recommendation of a friend. I was very disappointed. I’m torn about what to give for service as the girl who finally served us was really good but it took a very long time to realize we were there, and the couple next to us were seated after us and were attended to before us. But when we were finally addressed and our order taken, everything went smoothly. Too bad we had to sit so long for our server to say hello. At least the water kid came over often to check on us. But honestly, I’ve had better food and service for the price of the place. I.E. Rotary sushi/sushi plus.
