What a wonderful experience and incredible food we had at White Guava Cafe! Walking into this lovely cafe is like arriving at your favorite rainy day sanctuary, filled with smiles, warm welcomes, and delicious smells. The menu is well designed and written with creative culinary creations for all. You know it’s a great place when you can’t decide what to try because it all sounds amazing! The side salad that comes with an entree is the best I’ve ever had; generous, fresh, and local. Try it with the lilikoi dressing, it’s incredible. All the staff we interacted with, including the owner, were attentive, kind, and helpful. White Guava Cafe is truly a community treasure!

This was absolutely one of the best experiences ever! The food was SO fresh and tasty. We had the coconut vegan curry, pastele burger, a side salad (which was the size of a regular salad anyplace else!) and the banana coconut ice cream. They all surpassed our expectations. Our server Zorn was A+ and the hydroponic salad was out of this world (sorry but I only took a picture of my salad!). Prices were reasonable and the ambience was perfect. Highly recommended ~ Amazing restaurant!

Their chicken katsu is tender, juicy, and BIG! I would have ordered the lite bite size if I knew the regular size has double chicken flakes lol. The lili sauce was fruity and nice. Recommend sweet potato salad (the purple one). They use local grown ingredients. They served us with crackers to start with:) Everyone here was super kind and friendly!

Amazing!!! We are just in Hilo for one day. I picked this place at the last minute for lunch. Super impressed! Vegan coconut curry was so delicious. I tried the breaded chicken with the original adobo sauce and it was delicious! Loved the purple sweet potato salad and I would highly recommend. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Randomly stumbled upon the White Guava Cafe and are so glad we did. You can tell that it is a local favorite! We took the server’s recommendation and ordered the chicken katsu donburi and it was honestly incredible. Huge portion, super delicious, and even came with an unnecessary side.

We went at the perfect time of day on a Saturday. The staff is very welcoming and the food was amazing as well! The food didn’t take very long to come out and it was made to order. They gave us each a plate of complementary crackers with guava butter which was amazing, and our food was all wonderful as well. We will definitely be heading back to try more of their menu in the future!

Such a great little restaurant! We had the purple sweet potato salad and bbq chicken and they were both so good. The side salad is also delicious and all the ingredients are high quality. Huge portions and the $4 beers and seltzers were a great bonus!

First time eating here and I swear I can still smell the pizza hut from the old store. The interior looked pretty similar to pizzhut as well. They gave us banana bread and it was amazing. The butter they give you is kind of a waste, too much butter. The cups and the water are really nice and neat never seen water served that well. My daughter loves the Korean Chicken. I’m very confused at how they make it. It’s light as a feather like they air fried it but it was also dehydrated and greasy. The texture was unlike anything I’ve ever eaten and I don’t necessarily like how they make it. The fries were good i like the natural potato flavor and they were hot and fresh. I’m definitely willing to try more things on the menu.

The adobo crispy fried chicken thighs are super delicious; the flavour and texture is excellent. I really like how the chicken was crispy while still having a nice juicy sauce. The salad for the side is also packed with a very generous serving of high quality lettuce and veg. One downside was that the white rice felt a bit mushy to my taste, but this could just be my preference for more distinct white rice grains. The staff were all very friendly and the service was great. Overall it’s an excellent value for money and is definitely go back.

Very lovely asian restaurant in hawaiian flair. I had Loco moco (front bowl) and it was very nice. The sweet poptato salad was delicious. My sister ordered Lilikoi chicken (plate). We can reccommend.
