We were passing through this area and found this restaurant, lots of food options depending on your craving, friendly, patient, and helpful employees. The atmosphere was warm, spacious with lots of leg room, clean floors, and tables. Our server provided excellent food service and attended to our needs. Our appetizer and food came out a few minutes apart, the chicken wings were my favorite. It had the right flavor and texture and was not oily. If you’re in this area, check out this restaurant, and I would definitely visit again.

I have never had a bad meal here. I grew up in Arizona, so I know my way around Mexican food, and when my parents retired to Lake Frederick, I didn’t exactly have high hopes for good Southwest cuisine in the Winchester/Front Royal area. Boy, was I wrong! Generous portions, wide variety, outstanding salsa and a wait staff that is *always* on point. Will definitely be back many, many times

We went here a few days ago, and the restaurant was very clean. Our server was very friendly, though I didn’t catch his name. I’m giving 4 stars because I ordered the seafood chimichanga, and I didn’t enjoy the “fishy” aftertaste. I like seafood, but not to the point where I’m still tasting it an hour after eating. However, the beef burrito was good.

It is a nice place to eat. Good service, good and tasty food. They meet you with warm nachos and tasty salsa. That was surprisingly tasty. Quesadilla was served in a new way but very tasty. No waiting time to seat at the table.

9/16/25 update – I had fajitas for dinner tonight while charging my Equinox EV at Tesla destination chargers right outside. excellent food, great service and convenient opportunity to charge my car while enjoying dinner.
I am so pleased that I found this restaurant Los Potrillos just across the way from my hotel. I called in advance and they said it be fine to bring my little dog with me and eat on their shaded patio. the food was delicious and the staff was just incredible. They made me feel so welcome and at home that I actually stayed another night to enjoy the town of Front Royal. I will most definitely come back to Los Potrillos if I ever come to Front Royal again.

I haven’t been here in a year or two and decided to come out here to eat. The food was as good as I remember! Our server Nico was friendly but was sooo slow every time we asked for something it would take 10 minutes for him to come back and no it was not busy. I also noted that a few plates that were at our table were chipped which is a health hazard

Maybe the 3rd time will be a charm. My first visit was perfect with great service and food.
But my second was less than ideal.
Both times I chose to sit outside and this time the waiter came out with the man that brought out my chips and salsa. He did not identify himself and left it to me to figure out his role.
I had ordered what I assumed was the large margarita on my 1st visit. So imagine my surprise when this time he served me what I will call a Big Gulp margarita. He recommended what I will call the everything burrito. Not a fan.
I only was given one napkin and had to threaten his tip to get another. I did leave a 25% on a $60 tab and he showed no appreciation.
Also the main course was served less than 5 minutes after my appetizer. Give a person a chance.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in a long time. Very nice little restaurant. They also have a bar to serve you drinks. The food was excellent.
