I’m from Texas and grew up on Whataburger, so was thrilled to see one finally coming to Northern Arkansas where I now live.

I had never tried Whataburger before and noticed Searcy had one. We stopped at about 3pm on a Sunday and went inside and there was a long line. The mens restroom wasn’t great, but pretty decent for as busy as they were.

As I grew up with Whataburger while living most of my life in Texas, I am so happy that Arkansas is getting them. Whataburger is awesome, very affordable, open 24 hrs and the service can’t be beat. The burgers as well as all the menu items are always tasty. They bring your food to the table, refill your drinks and come to your table to offer napkins, condiments and such. Always fully staffed with a smile. Oh and the lobby, bathrooms, and grounds are always clean and tidy. I do love me some Whataburger!

I ordered a chocolate malt with extra malt. There was no malt and if there was chocolate I’m missing it. It looks vanilla and taste vanilla but they say it’s chocolate. I’m from Texas and this is far from the service and quality that we get in Texas. Staff wasn’t very friendly either. I hope once this location has been ipen longer they will do better.

Visiting family and stopped by for dinner around 7:15. We left the drive thru around 8:15. I’ve been to several Whataburgers prior and I’m told this one is a relatively new open, so I can understand the hiccups a little bit.

I’d have to say the place was not spectacular looks like any other fast food restaurant. Service was good No military discount that’s a minus as far as I’m concerned. The food was pricey and my burger I have to say honestly it’s almost like a McDonald’s or Wendy’s or Burger King nothing spectacular.

I ordered a chicken biscuit. The biscuit was hard and not flaky. The chicken was tough. The music in the dining room was too loud. I asked the staff to turn the music down, and they turned it down a little bit. A few minutes later they turned the music back up. Worst fast food breakfast that I’ve ever had. I should’ve had a bowl of cereal at the hotel. I would have saved some money.

I mean, it’s a Whataburger. It is a fine option, but I think some people have some sort of nostalgia about it. The part that really surprised me was how much more expensive it is now! Two people eating fast food for more than $24. I guess it’s the age we live in now, but people once went to fast food because it’s an affordable option… but I don’t think Whataburger is in that bracket anymore. If I’m going to spend $15/person to eat, I’ll get something other than whataburger.

The food was awful. The drive thru was busy. As busy as they were you would think your food would be very hot. But it was cold. My burger was cold and all you could taste was mustard and salt. The french fries were cold. The fries were shriveled and hard. I don’t know how long the fries were sitting out but they should have been hot. The kids meal was not any better. The mustard was so thick it was dripping off the sandwich and that’s all you could taste was salt and mustard. The fries in it were cold and shriveled. I might go back and give them a second chance. Paid way to much money to end up that no one could eat their meal. I spent over 30 minutes in the drive thru. I understand that they were very busy. I didn’t mind spending that much time in the drive thru but was upset that my food was so bad. From the time I ordered my food to pick up was about 10 minutes but my food should have been very warm to hot not cold and hard.
