Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I’m extremely disappointed with the service and order accuracy at this Whataburger location. I waited 25 minutes in the drive-thru, which is already excessive, but the bigger issue is that the order was completely wrong.

I ordered a Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger on Texas toast, large combo with a drink. I even verified the order at the window, and the employee confirmed it was correct. When I received my food, I noticed I was given a medium fry instead of a large. I went inside, politely explained the issue, and they corrected the fries with no problem.

Unfortunately, once I got home, I realized the bigger mistake: the burgers were completely wrong. Instead of my order, I received two single-patty burgers on regular buns with ketchup. The only thing they got right was the drink.

It’s incredibly frustrating to wait that long, double-check your order, and still end up with something totally different. What makes this worse is that this is not a one-off issue—this is probably the fifth problem I’ve had with this location, and I’ve reached my breaking point.

I grew up with Houston, Texas Whataburgers that delivered service and quality that could rival Chick-fil-A. Now living in Alabama, I keep hoping for that same experience, but this location doesn’t come close.

Management seriously needs to reflect on training, order accuracy, and drive-thru efficiency. Loyal customers shouldn’t have to gamble on whether they’ll get the correct food after waiting nearly half an hour. I’ve had enough.

Food is good. A bit pricey. Don’t stop if you’re in a hurry. Every time I’ve been there it seems to take forever to get my order, even with nobody else there. The staff just don’t seem to have a good attitude towards customers. That’s why I REALLY have to want their food to go.

⚠️ Please examine your food order careful
I had an order placed for me of two salads yesterday evening. While eating one of two of those salads, I discover a hard piece of plastic that if I had swallowed would have been harmful. Check out the picture below. This isn’t to shame whataburger or anything. Please examine your inventory, I would hate for someone to get hurt.

They treated me great with great service. The Whataburger Jr. was excellent. But personally to me, the what-a-chicken sandwich was overcooked. I have learned some people want it that Way.

I love the food at whataburger, but the Fultondale store is ridiculously slow. I had to wait 20 minutes at the window for 2 items and saw 4 or 5 people behind me leave. If I hadn’t already paid I would have left too. Then the employee who finally handed me the food didn’t even say a word… no apology or explanation for the ridiculous long wait.

My partner and I go camping at least once a season, and it’s become a soft tradition to pop by Whataburger for lunch on the way out.

We usually order/split the Western BBQ burger with an extra patty and sauce, cut and packaged in half, large fry and soda pop combo for around $12, and lemme tell ya, it’s SO satisfying!

Our food order is always right, hot, and served in a few moments (apx 3-5 mins ticket time) and they give you extra condiments guilt-free.

The registrars and even the people working in the back are courteous and helpful, and they keep a clean lobby.

I can’t wait for the next time we go camping, partly because we get to eat at Whataburger again!

Not only do they have the slowest service in town, but they almost always get the order wrong in someway. If you ask to substitute a side in a meal expect to get fries anyway, and if you order a sauce expect it to either be wrong or all over your food. It also always arrives good when ordered through DoorDash, and for a 30 minute to hour long wait I expect my food to be fresh. Do not recommend ordering here unless nothing else is open.

Didn’t get all of my food, had to wait 30 minutes while my food was in the window and was charged for 2 drinks when i asked for 1 large. A lady came to the window finally asked what i had, says they messed up. another lady brings me my food, names everything that’s supposed to be in the bag. I check it 5 minutes later down 65 and I’m missing an item. Powerade taste off. Would not recommend.

I attempted to go thru the drive thru to order but the employee was being extremely difficult, she was slow and wanted me to repeat my order over and over…… I dont know if she was new or just didn’t care. I went in to order and this young lady was on point. The grill staff and lane crew took 20 mins to make 6 burgers and 3 orders of fries. The burgers were extremely salty and tasted very average. I will try a different location of Whataburger but I was impressed.
