Frequented establishment prior and was looking forward to good food for a good price. Cocktails commanding $9.50 should be memorable, tasty and not leaving yourself questioning worth. Ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich for $15 with and Onion Ring upcharge of $3. Prime Rib Sandwich was only a half Sandwich and received 6 tiny onion rings. The food tasted good and Crispy. Just not enough, left hungry and disappointed. Vibe was dead, not rushing back and guessing the closure will come soon.

Wife and I looking for a place to grab a bite Saturday eve June 23rd. We were at Home Depot and she said, Wendell’s Pub, very close. We had never been and arrived at 8:30 p.m. Parking lot was pretty empty, but we confirmed they were open to 11 p.m. As with the parking, lot restaurant was almost empty. We sat at the bar. Promptly greeted by a middle-aged gentlemen bartender, very friendly, off to a great start. We ordered a couple of beers and he walked us through the menu and shared some of his favorites. He took our order, wings and a French Dip. Our food was delivered and it was all downhill from there. Wings prepared incorrectly with sauce put on the side. The wings were overcooked and sauce on the side made them even drier. French Dip was cold and flavorless. Meat tasted old and about to turn. Fires were cold and under portioned and under seasoned. Onion rings were good. Our bartender disappeared and a young lady took over at bar. Her only concern was cleaning and closing despite being open for another 1.5 hrs. We had to flag her down and ask for everything – ketchup, napkins, water refills, another beer. She was borderline rude. She did present and process the check very quickly. Let’s get these pesky customers out of here! I would have given one star, but our first bartender was great. Everything else was poor. First and last visit to Wendell’s Pub.

I haven’t been to Wendell’s in years but was excited to return when we decided to go there since we were in the area. The service was slow to get to us and then slow to bring our food and finally slow to follow up. We found this interesting because it was not busy even though it was 7:00 on a Saturday night. The food was OK but our burger was undercooked. Then we noticed they charge for using credit cards which was the final thing to make the overall experience less than pleasant. I think if a restaurant is going to do that then the server should let you know up front. In any case we will not be returning soon.

The menu seemed a bit pricey but you definitely get a bang for your buck. Food portions were huge and the French dip sandwich was made with prime rib!

We had dinner here for the first time on July 26. I ordered a classic rueban sandwich. The rueban came to the table with roast beef instead of corned beef. I didn’t even have to taste it to know it was roast beef as it was deep grey and pulled like a pot roast. I asked the waitress to inquire with the kitchen. She returned, stating it was overcooked corned beef and they apologized and I could order something else. I ordered the cod sandwich. In the meantime, three orders came out of the kitchen, and one of the orders was the table next to ours. In that order was a rueban that looked absolutely correct with perfect corned beef on the sandwich. I waited another 19 minutes for my “new order,” by which time my boyfriend was finished eating his dinner. The fish sandwich was terrible. The fish had clearly sat out too long before being breaded. It was grey inside, too. When our waitress returned, she explained we would only be charged for the fish sandwich and our drinks. We paid the $70 and left. At no time did the manager ever come to our table. What a disaster. Whoever owns this restaurant needs new management. The wait staff is young, but very nice, and left to deal with issues the staff above them SHOULD be dealing with in the moment. What a horrible experience.

Sat on the patio. Very spacious and had some good shade. Service was pretty fast for a Saturday night. We each had something different and all were happy. The portabella sandwich was really good, highly recommend.

When I’m in Westerville I try to stop in at Wendell’s Pub. Great service and always super clean bathrooms. I think they won an award a few years ago for the cleanest bathrooms if I’m not mistaken. I love their Fish n Chips. Hearty portion size, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and I think they put crack in the tarter sauce because wow it’s good!

It was ok. Service was very slow, food was ok. We got potato skins (had them remade because they were rubbery and came back more like a topped baked potato), blackened chicken Alfredo (not your typical blackened chicken, needed more flavor), chef salad with chicken (this was huge and good) and pretzel bites (these were good). Food that should’ve been hot wasn’t super hot when we got it. It was also pricey for the food and service we received, so we probably won’t be back. We had such high hopes!

Been coming here for years with a group of friends from highschool. Under new management. Got charged $.50 for mayo, plus if you don’t pay cash you get charged for the credit card fee. Got the Pub Burger that used to be $6.00 on Thursday. It’s $8.99 now & you get just a few french fries. Plus the bun was stale.

Wonderful place. We were at the bar and the bartender was attentive and pleasant. We had 4 drinks in total, two being long islands and the total was around 25 for two people.
