We love the food here! The grilled hamachi collar and the sexy rolls are the best! The ingredients and food are of very high quality and they are very authentic and fresh. Jing was so sweet and make sure we had a good service. The owner is a couple and they told us that they have been in business over 20 years. Overall it was a very good dining experience!

If you’re vegetarian do not skip this spot in your search for local food. The owner/chef is extremely passionate about Japanese food and loves to create new dishes in command. He stands there and makes everything in front of you. The food was fantastic. The building leaves much to be desired. But I always say the BEST and most authentic foods come from the least likely of places and this surely proves my point. Sit at the bar. Talk with chef/owner and find out for yourself what an incredible spot this is.

I had not an amazing dinner but a whole experience, thank you Katsu for the amazing Saba tataki and toro. He not only made the best dinner recommendations but also gave me a quick sushi lesson that will guide me forever.

On the outside, it looks like a hole-in-the-wall place that you would not want to get sushi from; but in this case, looks are very deceiving. Don’t let the rough exterior stop you from experiencing this hidden gem! Friendly owners, attentive staff, and expertly crafted, super-fresh sushi are the norm! Go soon and try the torro! Worth its weight in gold! The Jarvis roll (special) and tempura cheesecake are not to be missed!!

Such a wonderful place to eat. The food is so fresh and well prepared. Even the tea is fresh. The restaurant is spotless and cozy. The folks running it are sweet and engaging. If you want the real deal, get it here. Pass on those franchise sushi mills

This is my first time to write a review. I have been to many good Japanese restaurants. In general I got good foods. Wasabi is exceptional. Each sushi or Sashimi the chef will add some toppings to hint the taste for the dish. The owner carries a good conversation with me and it makes feeling like a party at home. My experience here is the best.

This place is a Gem. I had a super special experience with my wife the other night here. My wife found it on google and we decided to stop on our road trip to North Carolina from Florida. I absolutely loved the whole experience. The Owner was there and made us a roll that we loved it was with shiitake mushrooms, he made it specialty for us because he is always up for a challenge. We had an amazing conversation with the owner about the History of Japan, Sushi, which fish can be eaten raw and why, how there is dutch influence in Japan and why, Saporo, puffer fish, octopus and how to prepare jellyfish just to name a few of the many topics we talked about (all while he was making sushi for us and customers whom he knew by name and treated with allot of joy and attention as well) This gentleman was truly a treasure trove of knowledge and without a doubt Scholar and master at his work. His name is Ktsuzz or Kasuzz (I apologize if I misspelled it and mean no disrespect) I will always stop by on my way through and that is my word. I loved it so much i asked for his signature and posted it on my memory wall of favorite experiences throughout my travels in life.

The sushi was poorly executed. I don’t think they even used normal sticky sushi rice. The rice seemed harder than other places I’ve tried. The teriyaki chicken on a stick was salty. My husband ended up throwing his food out. We were highly disappointed after reading all of the good reviews.

Unfortunately the worst sushi I’ve ever had. My wife and I ordered three rolls. I had a bite of a specialty roll and had to spit it out. Then I figured I’d be safe trying the California roll since those are always fine. This one wasn’t. Tasted like rancid fish, so I had to spit that out too. They brought out water when we asked but we had to get pretty much everything else ourselves from a table on the far side of the restaurant. Ended up asking for a full refund and going somewhere else for sushi.
