I’ll first start by saying that the owner was super friendly, informative, and helpful. Also, the pizza was fantastic, with fresh ingredients and a great balance of flavors. However, the rest of the staff was inexplicably unfriendly and my cacio e pepe was swimming in olive oil (see photo). I thought that the bread pudding was very tasty but the affogato had way too much amaretto. It was, overall, an inconsistent and unappealing experience.

We went there cause the good reviews we had read, oh my, oh my, the reviews will never explain how awesome this place is. I am a Celiac and going out gets depressing as not many offer true gluten free options. I was hesitant until the waitress told me I can order basically anything on the menu and they will make it Gluten Free. I almost cried and could not stop smiling from the time I ordered and hours later I’m writing this and still smiling! The treatment towards us was so awesome! We walked in with no reservation and they got us a seat within seconds.

It had been a long time since we’d been here but we had always had good experiences. I talked up Vingenzo’s to a friend who had never been, and boy was I sorry and embarrassed to have chosen this restaurant!! Now I find I am agreeing with reviewers who found service unsmiling and prices out of line. The food remains good, but no slice of cake is worth $12. Wine pours are minuscule. Our main server was good, but the male and others were dour and unfriendly. Please don’t lose sight of the fact that dining out is discretionary, and inflation is pricing more and more diners back into their home kitchens. The times have been hard on everyone – a great restaurant is a welcome haven. If we are going to be rushed to order drinks 5 secs after we are seated, and treated like intruders or annoyances, back to my own kitchen it is. Life is hard, and no doubt some diners are uncivilized. But there are some professions where the show must go on – always with a SMILE. We pay for good food, but a social, warm and welcoming experience is a large part of the experience of dining out. My rule is – we adore the restaurant, and the restaurant adores us. We admire your expertise and are truly grateful civilized experiences and food still exist! In turn, be grateful for your customers. Without us your profession will cease to exist. All the best!!

Once upon a time Vingenzo’s was one of only a handful of restaurants in Woodstock. While the homemade pasta is well made, the dining experience is sub par. The ambiance in the room is bleak. No server made eye contact. Plates were removed from the table without a simple question,”are you finished with that”? The owner never bothered to ask how was everything. One gets the idea he doesn’t want to know. Times have changed. A dismal dining experience. Move on…

Went here on the recommendation of a friend, and was not at all disappointed.

There is no better pasta in Georgia. Hand made Buratta, Mozzarella and pasta produced daily. Highly recommend.

Whenever we’ve been here before, it’s been excellent on all fronts. The food has always been incredible – the pizza, pasta, and gelato especially. Previously the service has been great, but on our most recent visit the service was unacceptably poor. We had reservations and weren’t sat until 10 minutes after our reservation time. Our server only visited the table three times: first for drinks and second to take our order, and finally for the check. She never even asked how we liked our food after it was dropped. Whenever she passed us on her way to visit her other tables – whom she visited far more than us – we were simply ignored.

They need more stars! This is our 4th time here and it’s just outstanding every time. The staff is very friendly and professional, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and the food… I don’t possess the vocabulary to describe how good everything is. And I do mean everything!

We visited for a birthday celebration and left after a great time! Attentive, knowledgeable servers. The chef makes from scratch what has to be the best-looking Bloody Mary I have ever seen! The brunch menu was wonderful and the prices were great. I had the prosciutto and eggs pizza and everyone was envious! Topped off with some of the owner-chef’s peaches and cream gelato. I can hardly wait to visit again.
