The bakery and the breads are amazing. Ordering breakfast sandwich during a weekday may not be the best idea of your day.

Food and drinks are always spot on. Always warm and made with care. I like the avocado toast. It’s a nice spread of avocado on a thick warm slice of bread. I got the spiced eggnog latte today too. Very delicious and fillings. There were countless people going in and out, seating was practically full because the place is just that awesome!

Today was my first time at Village Bakery. I got the French toast latte and the B.A.L.T with roast turkey. I will definitely be coming back. Great spot to grab some coffee, a bite to eat, and talk with a friend. There’s plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs.

Charming little cafe. The upstairs loft seating was fun. Almond croissant, French toast, oatmeal were all delicious. Great morning stop.

When I didn’t like the green tea they gave me a black tea and were very nice about it. My hummus sandwich was great. On the way home I drank the rest of my husband’s coffee and even though it was getting lukewarm by then the taste was so rich and what I would describe as “beany “ as in coffe beans. I haven’t had coffee that good in years.

Normally I love this place for lunch and have eaten here several times. I got delivery this morning and they left out the oatmeal. When we ordered it again it did arrive this time but the bananas in the bananas foster looked old and tasted sour. I ended up having to scrap it all off but the oatmeal underneath still tasted sour. Very disappointment.

LONG time VB supporter, but recently I have been seeing a lot of inconsistencies within my orders. I ordered the Mikayla on Sourdough (my usual) and they let me know they were out of avocado but still charged me the full price (add on avocado is extra) and my “poached egg” was served hard. Without the runny poached egg, the sandwich misses on the moisture. I also asked for a side of jam, which used to be a delicacy, and was handed a small container of smuckers :/ My brother ordered the Caroline sandwich, and his egg was also very hard, cheese was poorly melted, and the special spread/sauce was missing. He did ask for his egg to be remade but by the time it was out his sandwich was cold…. Used to be my favorite place to bring out of town guests/friends but now I have grown weary

I ordered take out from here to eat while on a road trip. The online ordering system was easy to use, and the food was ready about ten minutes early, so I will give them that positivity. That said, the order was incorrect, which, to my own fault, I didn’t discover until after we were on the road. I had ordered the hummus sandwich with an addition of balsamic red onions because they were out of olives. Turns out the sandwich comes with barely any hummus on it at all, wilted/yellowing arugula, and instead of the onions, they added a slice of Swiss cheese. Not sure how that happened. I also got a salad and they forgot to include the dressing. My boyfriend’s sandwich came out fine. Also, when I picked it up, I looked to see if there were utensils included in the bag. I asked the cashier if they were in there, and she said, “They should be”, but handed me some anyway. It’s a good thing that I asked, because otherwise we would have been without. I have no problem with a policy where you have to ask for utensils with take out (I can see how this would cut down on a lot of waste), but if they were supposed to be in there and weren’t, that is another thing about my order that they overlooked. I’ve done dine-in at this location and another Village Bakery before with much more success, so in a pinch I would be willing to try that again, but I have very little faith in their take-out orders.

VBC is a tasty place in a convenient location and has suitable space for homework, reading, etc. Favorite items: very berry hibiscus cooler, cinnamon roll, morning glory muffin, turmeric latte. Give em a try!
