I’m always excited to highlight spots that consistently deliver and Venezia Restaurant in Midland absolutely earns 5 stars for service, food, and atmosphere.
From the moment we walked in, the service was attentive, friendly, and professional without ever feeling rushed. The staff made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal, and you can tell they truly care about the dining experience.
I ordered the T-bone grilled steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and it was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned with a great sear. The mashed potatoes were creamy and rich, and the asparagus was fresh and cooked just right, adding a nice balance to the plate.
To top it off, the chocolate caramel cake with whipped cream was incredible. Decadent, moist, and perfectly sweet, it was the ideal way to finish the meal.
The atmosphere at Venezia Restaurant is warm, inviting, and perfect for everything from date nights to family dinners. If you’re in Midland and looking for a place that delivers across the board, Venezia Restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Overall, our dining experience was nice. The staff were friendly and professional. The food was good as well. One note, the portion sizes were generous for the prices. The standout is the actual venue as it has a great design inside and out. The only critique I have is that our waiter checked on us once while we were eating, but then we didn’t see him again for a while. We basically sat around waiting after we were done eating for him to come back and had to go ask someone else to get him to come. When he finally showed up, he already had the check and takeout boxes, which we planned to ask for anyway.

So, my family came here with a reservation to celebrate my mom’s birthday but the service sucks. The hostess was very nice otherwise we would’ve walked out. But sadly our male server seemed like he did not want to serve our table. Maybe it was because most of the other guests were prominently white and we are not. The food however is superb, so I do highly recommend their food but unless you’re white, I recommend getting it to go or delivered (if those are options, I’m not sure).

Our service was wonderful, we ordered an appetizer and three entrées. My husband’s duck was excellent, and our son’s spaghetti and meatballs was great it was just as tasty the next day! My blackened redfish was flavorful and nicely portioned, though I felt the price was a touch high for the overall quality and pairing. The wine was fantastic, and the patio, paired with soft live music, made for a surprisingly comfortable August evening in Texas.

Once in a life experience will never be able to enjoy a meal this much for at least 3 days. I love this restaurant we go every year for our anniversary. I suggest the goat cheese salad, buratta appetizer, veal picatta and signature cake to round everything off. A nice bottle of Resling and the lemon martini.

Having grown up here I have eaten at this establishment many times. They have always treated my family well and this has always been a go to for us when we are looking for a fine dining experience in Midland. Rest assured something this restaurant never lacks is consistency—whether it’s the food, service or atmosphere expect greatness. I am just now choosing to write a review because I realize that it is long overdue. This last meal I shared with my wife over Valentines was not great but rather exceptional!! The tenderloin I ordered was absolutely phenomenal and melt in your mouth. On a day they begin taking reservations early and saying that the restaurant is expecting to be busy or at capacity is an understatement they absolutely dazzled. We couldn’t help but feel as if it were possible we could have been the only guests that evening and the chef and staff might have been preparing these dishes for our palettes exclusively.

I don’t think the menu has had a significant change in 30 years and that’s not a good thing. My pasta arrived with underripe tomatoes, greasy, stiff in some places like it had sat under a heat lamp for way too long, and soggy in others from sitting in a puddle of tomato flavored dish water. Would not recommend.
The decor is dated and some of the chairs are in bad shape, but the outdoor atmosphere was quite pleasant, and the staff were helpful and congenial.
