Staff was nice and beautiful interior of restaurant.Monday dinner time . But food very bad quality like slop sorry . Menu probably has over a 100 items on it. Needs to be pared down to best items only. Got a better burrito at the local gas station next morning. They couldn’t make simple quesadilla correctly either. I love Mexican food but not here. Some items we ordered were good some were bland. Where Mexican food is concerned, I know people’s tastes vary. I love fresh chunky salsa. Theirs is a tomato sauce with seasoning and cilantro, which was not my cup of tea.

Food is great, but it is a pity when servers don’t speak English, bring the wrong food, don’t understand when you say your order isn’t correct. But the worst part, watching a table of spanish speaking people come in, be seated at next table, have their order taken and getting their food before your even offered water after waiting for 25-30 minutes. Owner apologized as I was paying, but I should have had my meal comped. There was a tall slender man who worked there and the service was great, but has been poor since he left.

We stopped in for a late lunch and our orders came out quickly. We always like to try the bean dip if it’s on the menu so we tried that. I ordered their Deluxe Burrito and I can see why it’s their most popular. I got it with ground beef and a sour cream sauce; I really enjoyed it. Mrs. Flip Out got the Pollo Asado and said it had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. We asked the waitress for a spicier salsa; she brought out a salsa that had a truly unique flavor and a good kick that we both really enjoyed.

I ordered shredded beef Enchiladas Suizas. Delicious and a beautiful presentation. I knocked off 1 star because the temperature of the food was not piping hot, it was tempid. I’m betting the food would have had more flavor if it was hot. This is a typical Tex Mex menu for those that say it’s authentic Mexican…no it’s not indeed. Good…quite good the slaw is unusual with any Mexican dish but trust me, it’s a perfect flavor and mix for sure

My husband had the Portuguese Shrimp and I had the Alambre both were served quick and steaming hot. We both had margaritas and they were delicious. I have never seen a plate so large at a restaurant, it almost looked like a serving platter. Our waitress was very good. We would recommend Vallarta Grill to our friends if we lived near by.

The Expresso Veggie Burrito is both huge and really tasty. The fajitas are terrific, with both the shrimp and chicken beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked. My lovely Cuban wife had a near religious experience as we shared a piece of their lovely, almost lighter than air flan. There are some great Mexican restaurants in Guymon, but for us Vallarta is the best.
