Had a reservation for 9:30PM. By the time we got our food, it wasn’t busy. For a party of 4, we ordered 18 dishes handpicked by a friend who happens to be an Uchi employee. The selection mainly consisted of their favorite dishes.

Had a wonderful experience at Uchi tonight, they were able to accommodate a last min time change to our reservation which was much appreciated.

Phenomenal. To be candid, this meal ruined me. I will not be able to enjoy sushi again for some time. The journey my palate was taken on was a ride like no other. Only the Uchi in Houston can compare in my mind. The staff were accommodating and added special items for a birthday in our party. I can’t wait till I can return.

Always a fantastic experience. I moved from Seattle and whenever I suggest sushi in Austin my friends from out of town scoff. However I put Uchi up there with some of my favorite Japanese restaurants.

Our wonderful waitperson, Alexis, did an amazing job curating a fantastic somakase meal for my partner and I. Each dish felt very thoughtful and was gluten-free to boot (but did not taste “gluten-free” if you know what I mean!)!

Uchi, the iconic Austin Sushi experience has a new restaurant coming out, UchiBa the bar concept. We had the opportunity to enjoy happy hour special showing some of the new menu items that are coming. We sat outside and really enjoyed the experience. Our server was absolutely phenomenal and fun. We tried the hot fried chicken a fun take on Nashville hot chicken it was great. The fried broccoli katsu was amazing…who knew. The hand rolls were decent, a little clunky for me but my love thought they were good. We had some nigri and crudo. Some wonderful white wine. It was a last minute date for us, we truly enjoy all the food and experiences together, it makes our time here just better. My love thank you for making our time better, without you it’s just gray. I love you to the moon and back.

This place was really beautiful and nice. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding. One of the best foods I have ever tasted. Some dishes for the price however are a bit much especially if you receive only one roll for 20+ dollars. Is it it worth the prices, debatable. Definitely amazing taste but I want to also be full for the money I’m spending. Ended up having to get more to get more full. Also, if you plan on eating in a group and want to eat at once it’s not going to happen. It’s made to order so whatever dish is made first comes out to that person and is not waited to be brought with other orders at the table.

Edit: I’m still waiting for a manager to contact me as promised about my food poisoning. Lost work, currently getting an IV infusion for dehydration as I type this. The original lady who promised me I’d get a call within a day or two sounded concerned, confirmed my reservation and mentioned I would het refund.

Another amazing dining experience at Uchi! My wife and I have enjoyed Uchi in Austin and Houston over the last 10 years. The Sake Tom Kha had fresh buttery salmon, and the Chinese broccoli was incredible (Gian Lan). Pictured is a unique sushi fusion makimono “ham and eggs,” pork belly, yolk custard, togarashi. This was my favorite dish of the evening.
