Oooooweeeeeeeeee….. let me start with that word first!! My friend and I drove there yesterday (so you know it’s good when I go ahead and write the review … lol). So we decided to get there for 12pm (at their opening time on Sunday). When we arrived, there was already a line of people. No sweat. We will wait for good (and I saw a grocery store next to it… lol… so I was in heaven). We got in line at 12:07pm. We waited and then they started letting people in (little by little so that it doesn’t get too overcrowded). I had already reviewed the menu so when we finally got our order taken around 12:50, I ordered the catfish nuggets with sweet potatoes and Mac. My friend ordered fish and shrimp combo with collards and Mac. The young lady taking orders even asked her would she prefer catfish or swai (woooooooooo… wait…. Can you all recommend all places do this? Lol… because I only eat catfish). Anyhow…. We were told it would take 25-30 minutes for fried food. Me, personally, I don’t care about waiting on fresh food…. I will wait an hour if I have too… as long as I wait and I get some hot food. When we received our orders, the young lady bagging the food had the BEST customer service (young lady with the baby photo on her chain). Then the young lady that took our order and one of the other ladies suggested drinks they prefer… I’m soooo glad I went with the order takers suggestion because I don’t like fruit punch (in the code red’s drinks). My friend got code red and said it was delicious Chile…. They aren’t afraid to place the hot food in one bag and cold items in separate bag ! Teach these “chained restaurants” a thang or two (yep, I meant a thang, not thing lol). When I got back to the car, we couldn’t help but stop and take photos first! We ate IN THE CAR… and boyyyyyyyy…. Was it good!!! My friend kept saying she was glad I picked this place to try and that we MUST Come back! I’m not sure about the other reviewers but the Mac was Mac’in, the sweet potatoes were sweet’in and the batter on our food was lord have mercy GOODDDDD!! I’m a southern girl so I like flavor, I love seasoning and I approve them!! A STAMP of approval. The juice was juice’in!! On top of all that, that banana pudding… lord…. Lord… I went back in JUST to purchase more banana pudding and decided to get a cake too!! When I walked back in the ladies immediately asked what had been wrong with my food (but in a nice and caring, concerned manner). THAT’S customer service!!Let me just say WE WILL BE BACKKKKK!!!

This was my first time going to treatsnbeatz before I went I called and the owner picked up the line. She was so sweet and patient she went over what is the best seller to the food drinks and puddings. I got to the restaurant and everything looked great. Her staff mirrored her. They were amazing and great customer service. I ended up getting the last oxtails and when I tell you they filled me up with my money worth they did not disappoint.

Great food. A hidden not too hidden gem in North Miami. Wings were cooked to perfection, and yams were delicious. String beans were good, but I will try the Mac and cheese next time. The wait time, though, was about 40 minutes, so just be mindful if you’re in a hurry try it another day. They do let you know how long it will take, and the time was pretty accurate.

Food was delicious and enough for 2-3 people. Owner who answered when I called to see if I could call in my order was a whole vibe!!! Loved her spirit. Lamb chops were delicious!!!!! I did have to wait but I was advised of this when I called. But for me… having HOT delicious food and a Huge Portion and great service made it worth the wait!!! Will definitely come back!!! EDIT *** forgot to mention the specialty cornbread was so good, I honestly wished for a second piece!!! & Mac n cheese was also very good!!!!

First off let me say the short cashier executed great customer service today when I came in. The food was definitely a 10 outta 10 point blank period. I love how they have the hot sauce in the little containers instead of packets. That’s definitely a plus ➕️. Banana pudding was also good.

I drove an hour or so just for these turkey wings and I do not regret at all!!! The portion size is HUGE and the amount flavor is COLOSSAL! I recommend this place to anyone in search of true affordable soul food! Customer Service was great and the wait time was reasonable seeming the food being cooked to order. I love this place! Definitely try the sweet potato cornbread if they have it!!

People tripping about the wait but the food is worth it. Everything is really made to order. The fried lamb chops are amazing. The wings,the star island juice and the pudding are delicious as well. I will be going back.

I went to this restaurant last Thursday and ordered the catfish nuggets, candied yams, and the pigeon peas and rice. Everything was well seasoned and delicious. I was surprised with the amount of food I got, it was definitely worth the price. The ladies were kind enough to expedite my order so I can get to my next appointment on time. What is also important to me is that the facility was clean!!! I highly recommend this place. I plan to go back and try other dishes. This is a hidden gem in North Miami.

I heard of this restaurant through instagram and decided it was a must on my visit to Miami. The food was delicious, made to order, plentiful, seasoned and seasoned I mean like in your grandma house. The service was excellent due to her (the owner) energetic and southern hospitality. She took the time to greet and take pictures by her beautifully decorated arc way. It’s a must stop for Southern cuisine and atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed. Ohh did mention the pudding chileee. I will be back every time I come to visit.
