Not bad for a sushi joint in downtown. The sushi is fresh and decent price. It also comes with free miso soup. I will be frequent visitor to this joint as my office is just right across from them.

Gas Station Sushi – Stay Away! The new owners have sourced sushi from a horrific vendor. I got sick after eating the salmon poke bowl. It was literally raw, unfrozen, salmon. Eat at your own risk.

If I could give half star’s I’d give them a 3.5. As far as fast food sushi goes, it’s par for the course. Try the limited time sashimi bowl if it’s still available.

Surprisingly good for fast food sushi. I particularly prefer their version of the miso soup (contains mushrooms). The nigiri sushi wasnt top-notch restaurant quality, but it’s fast food! I’d def go back if in order to relieve my sushi craving when I dont have much time!

It’s a small but clean place. Super easy if you want the box sushi: just pick up what you want and go to the register. You get a lot for your money. Unfortunately, I got the spicy tuna and all I can taste is the cucumber (with a hint of something spicy every third chew). I won’t be going here again.

Getting premade sushi can be dodgy but Tokyo lunch box is probably the best premade place. All sushi is made in store daily and they clear out from the previous day. S lo so a wise range of options. And it’s cheap for sushi.

Need a quick and cheap sushi fix? This is the place! Grab all your favorite rolls from this small, unassuming Japanese joint. All the typical rolls are offered and can be made to order or grab and go (there is a pre-made section with popular rolls made). They also offer hot soups and udon, as well as rice dishes. Really cheap and decent eats. Not life-changing sushi made from the finest fish, but it gets the craving done during lunch. All rolls are half off after 4pm!

I have gone here many times over the last couple of years. It’s good if you need something really fast and have a craving for Japanese style food. The food isn’t great but it isn’t terrible either. I would recommend the shrimp tempura udon.

Tokyo Lunch Boxes is a pretty decent sushi place, and perfect for lunch because it is not made to order at lunch time (but it can be). the best thing is that after 3pm all of the premade sushi is half off! Make sure to try their samples, because sometimes the unusual types are actually really great here, their normal rolls (ie: California) aren’t that exciting.

4 stars cuz it’s quick and mad consistent, great qualities for a Loop eatery. Clear out sushi deals daily at end of day. Downside: it can get crazy busy, limited seating, and you may be staring right in someone’s grill if you do get a seat.
