We thought the food was good. My 1/2 chicken was cooked perfectly and the baked potatoes are almost a meal by themselves. Our waitress was great and even offered us to-go drinks. I would definitely eat here again.

Are server Jean was great. As always the food was delicious we enjoyed the 10 oz Baseball State the ribeye and the brisket sandwich all cooked to perfection would loaded mashed potatoes a must have for this location.

Friendly staff, family friendly, good food. The front doors need to be clean, I’m not sure if anyone else notices the front doors to restaurants, gas stations, or department stores but I do, clean front doors make a difference. But anywho this place is popular for a reason!

My wife and I dined here this evening and we came from Colorado to experience the southern cooking and southern hospitality. Monti was our server and she was awesome, the food was great and the red beans and rice were top notch, I also love bread pudding which is not to popular in Colorado but their bread pudding is some of the best I have ever had!!

After hearing about TJ Ribs for years as the location for all the coaches shows, my wife and I decided to give it a try and it didn’t disappoint. Ribs were fantastic and I’m not even a fan of ribs. I got the burnt ends sandwich and it was awesome as well. We will be back!

Made a special 2 hour trip just to grab a rack of ribs! This location has the best in the state. Hands. Down. Love it!

This place is not what it used to be. No longer an upscale restaurant, now just an overpriced disaster. The food was bad, possibly undercooked. The bathroom was a mess. The host was missing when we arrived, and didn’t return for a long while. The staff had a meeting in the dining room, the kitchen staff was shouting out orders constantly. Our waitress disappeared for a long while, someone else delivered our food after a long wait. The internet was down but our server never told us, so even paying was an ordeal. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. I’ve had better food at a drive thru, and for those prices it was quite disappointing.

I have had a few places around Baton Rouge that claims to have BBQ, Smoked or grilled meat and almost every time I have been disappointed. I understand BBQ! Is why I highly recommend TJ Ribs because they are doing it right. Others that I have tried either pre boiled the meat or lightly bbq’d it then 80% of the rest of the cook is from the oven. I’ve smoked meats for over 10 years and have competed in competitions. I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!

This is my first time eating at TJ in over 12 years. My first and last time was at the Siegen location… I wasn’t a fan of it back then, but I was also a little tipsy and tired! Lol… This time around, I really enjoyed everything! The ribs, the burger, the potato salad, baked beans, fries, and the muffin were all really delicious!! Not to throw shade at our beloved Ascension Parish friend & neighbor, Prairieville, but I think a location in Gonzales would’ve done really well!! Specifically a stand-alone location not located in a shopping center. Just saying…………..
