Calamari okay- very nice large portion. Pizza i would give it a sold 7 – sauce was good but tooooo much cheese and a bit on the salty side. Great overall experience. I would also add – we sat at the bar and the bartender was extremely friendly and provided great service!

Delicious food and friendly owners. One of Newtown’s best Italian restaurants. — 2019 update: This remains one of our favorite restaurants in town. Unlike so many of the newer and ostensibly hipper eateries, it’s almost never difficult to get a table here, even on their amazing patio, which has great views of downtown Sandy Hook.

When I first moved to Sandy Hook, The Villa was basically the only restaurant in town. Now it’s been eclipsed by a number of “trendier” spots, but it remains unequalled in ambience and food quality. Spectacular stone-walled patio surrounded by exquisite landscaping, and an interior no-expense-spared dining room. Lasagna and tiramisu are two standouts, but everything is fresh and delicious.
