The Venetian Soda Lounge

Swing by the soda lounge located in the Soda Plant on Pine street in Burlington, Vermont’s South End Art District. Experience a tribute to 1920’s Burlington and a flavor inventors laboratory fueled by the history of my families historic Venetian Ginger Ale! Lost to history during WWII Venetian Ginger Ale was brought back to life in 2017. During the day we are a family friendly soda fountain and creemee stand, and by night we’re a roaring twenties speakeasy! Day or night I invite you to my life long dream of entertaining guest with new craft sodas, fresh squeezed fruit seltzers, specialty cocktails, mocktails, food and a variety of performances.

This is a fun, small place to visit! They make handcrafted sodas and mixed drinks. You can add any alcohol to a handcrafted soda which is a nice added touch. The mixed drinks on the menu are delicious too. There’s a small stage where we heard a band play and there’s karaoke on Sundays! We already ate before we got there so we didn’t try the food. The staff were very friendly!

Came on Christmas Eve, and got the maple cola with vanilla ice cream. Maple was really smooth, not over powered by the ice cream. Haven’t had a soda for ages and this got the spot. This is the perfect place for great mixed drinks and non-alcoholic drinks for those of us who have poor tolerance

Excellent drinks and atmosphere. Great small music venue for musicians who appreciate performing in a more intimate setting.

The ambiance in this place is so unique. Fun to try out the flights of their different soda options and pick your favourites. Most aren’t too sweet.

The Venetian Soda Lounge just opened a couple weeks ago but it already feels like it’s a long time fixture at the Soda Plant on Pine Street. It’s a natural and incredible compliment to the mix of great food & beverage makers at the plant. Justin and his team have hit a home run with the speakeasy vibe, the custom crafted cocktails using fresh ingredients, great live music, friendly staff and as I understand it, much more to come. I know I’ll be there as often as I can.

A sweet and creative space, local and very cool. Small food menu, but the service is fantastic. Employees are always friendly, and sunday night karaoke is always fun. I highly recommend the large selection of soda options on the menu, I dont drink alcohol so it’s really nice to come with my friends somewhere that offers so many nonalcoholic options and where alcohol isn’t the main vibe.

Delicious food and drink, very culturally appropriative decorations. Ethically, I can’t go back, but if you are okay with cultural appropriation, then have a good time.
