This weekend I had a bunch of people over and decided to go here for take out. I was not happy with the food and will not be going back. I remember it being better. I had some tofu dishes that were so hard that I couldn’t even chew it.

Always great service and hot fresh food. I have enjoyed the Pearl House for many years. Update! Today I ordered salt and pepper chicken wings and sat and waited for my order. When it arrived, it was incorrect. The lady argued with me about what I said! Who has time to argue about a simple error?! Didn’t offer to redo or refund me at all! I am very disappointed. I will give them one more chance to get it right another time. I usually don’t have a problem here.

Solid, dependable, tasty and unpretentious neighborhood Chinese place. Food always tastes fresh (I generally order the stir fries and fried rice, not the deep fried items), and they are generous with vegetables. Their hot and sour soup is my favorite local version. They are sometimes prepping veggies and dumplings at a big table in the back, which makes the place feel homey, and tells you those things are made in-house. The extensive bubble tea menu offers a fun treat to round out your meal. Also, they are usually quick with delivery, at least in the local area.

The lady was really rude upon entering. She was sitting behind the register where i could not see her. As soon as i walked through the door she says,”WHAT DO YOU WANT?!”. im confused since i havent walked up or seen the menu, i proceed to walk in and she repeats herself giving me no time to think. I also think she overpriced my meal.

I haven’t tried many dishes yet, but their fried rice and chow mein are both excellent, especially the chicken fried rice. They’re also very fast, and the boba drinks are a nice bonus. The restaurant is always a bit empty, which is sad since their food is yummy and the staff are polite.

I ordered from GrubHub for the first time from this restaurant. I ordered the Avocado smoothie. The smoothie was very good, but the service is very rude and unprofessional. I can see why they had no customers upon my arrival. Please do better with customer service.

Combination fried rice, honeydew tea with boba, complete satisfaction. This restaurant does not get the foot traffic that it deserves. Granted it does lack on ambiance, but only because their focus is on great flavor and friendly customer service. Give them a try and experience what home cooked Chinese food, should and feels like.

My new neighborhood greasy noodle place! Great americanized Chinese food staples. Yes, the sesame chicken is fried and crispy, and the sauces are thick and sweet. Mmmm…. complete with gruff yet efficient service. Made me feel like I was back home in Brooklyn.
