The service from Stacy was great! We’re from out of town and had never been before, and she helped us decide what to order. The atmosphere was very comfy and it felt like everyone knew each other (other patrons came and chatted with us, it was really sweet). For the most part the food was good (coffee 10/10, and really good bacon and eggs); but the French Toast was pretty plain, and the hash browns were hardly browned and became more like mashed potatoes… We came in an hour before close (our bad), so that may have had something to do with it. We didn’t mind though. It’s a diner, not a Michelin Star establishment, so you get what you pay for. But staff was very friendly, and that’s what makes a place great.

Today was my first time to visit. I decided to go here because of the reviews. The serving size is super awesome. They are, most definitely, not stingy with the food. However, the taste is much to be desired. It was kind of bland to be honest, and the beans were under cook, not as soft as they should have been. Conversely, the service was fabulous. Stacy – our waitress – did a fantastic job. Thank you, Stacy

Passing through town and was looking for a good breakfast spot. I actually drove to a couple other places but the pictures on those reviews didn’t look all that great. However, the reviews and pictures for this lovely establishment, looked really really good. So, a quick drive away from my path, arrived and was seated right away. My server was so sweet and welcoming, like I’ve been a long time customer. Menu looked great and I ended up choosing an omelet with some bacon on the side. Plus a pancake. Everything was delicious, tasted fresh, and came out quickly. Very happy I stopped by and I would recommend anyone passing through to skip the chain places and go homestyle.

Home cooking. Love it when you go in there it is like an old school dinner. None of the coffee cups match makes it even cooler.

It is a small home town feel. Everyone is welcomed and most are on a first name basis. My waitress today beautiful, personable and attentive to all her guest needs. Great place to have some simple breakfast. Thank you Elk’s Dinner. I will see you again soon.

I rated this overall a 3. I called in an order for 2 senior western omelets and 1 ham and cheese senior omelet. The person taking my order did not bother to tell me they don’t make senior western omelets so I got 2 regular omelets made that I had to pay full price for. We wanted the senior omelets because they are smaller and full size are too much for 2 senior people to eat. If they would have just told me it would have been better.

I was incredibly disappointed in this place. Almost all of the tables were dirty, so there was hardly anywhere to sit. The food is too expensive for the subpar quality that it is. The hash browns were uncooked mush and the corned beef hash was the worst I’ve ever had at a restaurant (tasted like hot dogs instead of corned beef) The only thing edible on my plate was the eggs. Tea and soft drinks are silly expensive and the bill was $70 for four people before the tip.

It’s a quaint kind of rustic place to eat. The food is always good, fresh, and warm. The service is fantastic. It’s not a 5 star resort, but the people are genuine. I love it there. The Migas in the Morning are my go-to.

Service was great. Waitress was attentive and even provided crayons and coloring book for our 2 year old. Food was mediocre in taste, but was hot when it came it.
