What a gem!!! A friend and I stopped in after leaving the hospital, where her son is recovering from a motorcycle accident. We googled restaurants and saw The Parthenon had 4 stars and chose to go there. Great experience. I had the grilled chicken pita meal that cane with fries and a small salad. Amazing. I am definitely going back as often as I am in the area.

Nice little mom and pops style Greek restaurant. The food was delicious and priced just right. This is a no frills Greek/Mediterranean diner with a small friendly staff.

I’m a little disappointed. I am not to sure if it’s on the decline or upswing but based on the reviews, I’m assuming decline. I also hate not showing love to my local owned and operated business.

This was my first time dining in. I’ve had their food delivered a couple times and it was always yummy so I was confident that it would be amazing in store. I really like the vibe they set in there. We ordered apps but they brought every thing out at the same time with the exception of the salad that came with the meal. We split the Gyro platter with was more than enough for two. We also ordered the Greek fries and two spanakopitas. Just as I hoped everything was hot and tasty. My only criticism is that I live there to be a little more texture around the edges of my gyro meat. I will be returning!

The elderly people who own the place are kind and sweet. The hummus and the pita bread were excellent. The lentil soup was a little too thin. The musaka was OK. The baklava was OK.

Always a good take-out experience. My wife and I have vastly different tastes, and we can both find something we love from their menu. The staff is always friendly as well.

I love all Mediterranean food, but this place really was good. We had a sampler platter and the hummus was creamy and smooth, the babaganouj exactly how my wife likes it (Smokey) and a great mix of mint and other flavors in the tabbouleh. The falafel was different than I’m used to but still good. The lamb kebab dish was perfect for what I wanted this day – no sticks to pull the lamb off, but still tender and grilled tasting, and the rice was a good complement. I also love their take on a Fattoush salad with large chunks of cucumbers and tomatoes.

I want to support this place, but our most recent food was… just not great. We ordered: 1) a greek salad with gyro: it had no olives, no pepperoncini, and very little feta. It was mostly lettuce with a few tomatoes, cukes, and onion. The dressing was so watered down it tasted like nothing; 2) tabouleh salad: again, more lettuce than tabouleh, but the worst part was the tabouleh had no dressing whatsoever — completely dry. So we had to make a dressing to eat it; 3) dolmades: these were strange: overly spiced with cinnamon, the stuffing was ONLY rice (?!), and the topping was not parsely, but cilantro! The tahini dressing was also so watered down we didn’t even use it. To top it all off, we got NO pita bread. That all cost 47 bucks (!!), and it was not good. I’m not going to give up — we’ll be back and I’ll try to ask for olives, etc on my salad and I’ll try the gyro wraps and hummus next time. Maybe the employee on this day was not well trained or knowledgeable about the food? That’s what I’m hoping, because that is an easy fix!

Ordered the Athens special, no meat. Everything on the plate was delicious. It comes with two grape leaves but we ate one before the picture. It was good. The egg plant was very soft with a sweet flavor. The rice was perfect, and the sauce on the green beans was mildly spiced. Spanakopita is always good, and they did a good job of it. The salads are the only thing that was slightly disappointing. I prefer a lot of parsley in my tabbouleh, and this one was lacking. The Greek salad was a classic flavor…who doesn’t love feta. We didn’t care so much for the greens they used. Something other than a head of lettuce would be nice.
