We loved camping at this park and always looking for dog friendly places to eat and we was so happy that the hideout kitchen in the park was very dog friendly. The atmosphere sitting on the covered patio overlooking the river was a real treat, our waitress was so friendly and serviced as well. Our food was delicious and delivered HOT always great. No complaints here!! Thank you to the hideout kitchen.

We went here on July 30th for dinner. The location is a little hidden but easy to find. It’s really nice and clean and if you sit outside you can overlook the river which was nice. We ordered the steak and my husbands was a little over cooked but the staff was quick with replacing and apologizing. Everyone there was friendly. The flavors of the food left a little to be desired but just ask for the salt and pepper and it will help. We did order the cookies and cream pie and that was probably the highlight of the day for me. It was soo good! She ain’t pretty, but sure is delicious! When we paid I didn’t realize they comped the dessert due to the steak situation. We didn’t ask to be compensated but def appreciate them doing it for us. Overall, I would give this place another try when we are back. I’m sure it will be busier when we return

If you can arrange your schedule to avoid the busy times, you are in for a treat. Dining on the outdoor, covered patio is the reason for the name — The Lookout. Best view in Beavers Bend State Park, watching the Mountain Fork River roll on by.

The Lookout Kitchen is a pretty decent and cosy place. We both got the chicken strip dinner and it was very good! The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars was the service. Our waitress only came to our table four times. To take our order, ask how everything came out, and to bring us sauces we asked for, and to bring the bill. We never got drink refills or the to-go drinks she offered.

Small menu with good choices. I had the bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was perfectly cooked/seasoned.

This place has always been a must stop for us when we visit beaver’s bend. We came to enjoy breakfast this morning and it was amazing! It’s under new ownership and recently remodeled . The place looks beautiful and staff is very friendly. The GM was even waiting tables and took great of us. The food was fresh and home cooked. The food tasted like the best thing I ever ate.

Sadly, I have to give this a 1 Star. We were excited to see a new restaurant at the old foggy bottoms beautiful location, and planned our anniversary dinner at the lookout kitchen. To our surprise, when we arrived the restaurant was 50-70% empty at peak times on a holiday weekend. We were seated and got our drinks from the man who sat us immediately (That was the last customer service we experienced). 30 minutes passed and the waitress walked by our table 10 times, never greeted us, never said be with you in a minute, just walked by us as if we were non-existent. We were content listening to the live band while we waited, but could not help but want a refill on water or some kind of service, sadly that never happened.. Frustrated we got up and left, only to be met with “Are you guys gonna pay” from the same waitress who ignored us for the last 30 minutes. It is sad too see such a beautiful location go down hill so badly. Hopefully they can turn around their customer service around and make this place great location it could be. Also hire more servers to meet customer service demand. Multiple people in front of us had left.
