No toilet paper, soap or paper towels in one of the urine smelling, unisex bathrooms. The swinging bathroom door had a huge gap and no lock, after you stumble up an unmarked slight stair to enter. After looking at previous reviews,I shouldn’t have wasted my time but a friend told me about a local music show here. After arriving I immediately regretted my decision. Filthy bar, I witnessed more than a few drug deals with little to no effort hiding it. Sound system is maybe the only saving grace which doesn’t say much because it desperately needs some attention. The ceiling is bowed and looks like it’s going to collapse, and I’m fairly certain nothing has been cleaned in the last decade. I’ve noticed the owners do in fact read and reply to negative reviews. So as your reaction I’d suggest focusing on what you can do make the place safe, clean, and more inviting regardless we will not be returning. Wish you the best.

Just another bar that doesn’t try but wants you to show up anyway. Old and run down describes the building but could also describe the service. Just no effort. If you’re there with a group of friends you can have a good time, but don’t plan on the bar adding any atmosphere. Low level service and outdated bars seem to be in abundance in Topeka sadly and this bar falls right in line. You’d be better off staying home and making your own drinks and creating your own good times.

The last time I was there, the bartender wasn’t friendly at all and seemed to be a bit snobby. Which I thought was odd seeing as how she didn’t look anything like someone snobby. She seemed more involved with talking to her friends at the end of the bar then greeting new customers. I was also told that the jukebox only plays music outside?!?!? Never heard of that before, nothing says welcome like go sit outside in the cold if you want to spend money on music. Yeah, I probably won’t be back. Especially if it’s the same bartender. I would highly recommend somewhere else. Anywhere else… ♂️

The owners are incredibly involved and hospitable, cocktails are super tasty, and the live music is a fun bonus. Definitely somewhere you need to stop in whether you live in the area or are just passing through.
