First experience with southern Louisiana food. It was really good and I absolutely enjoyed tasting each dish.

The food was TERRIBLE! It took 15 minutes to get my order though I was the only customer. I ordered the Combo #1 and got dry, unseasoned rice with strands of old chicken as my “jambalaya” a MESS of loose red and white beans that ran together in my container on the way home as my “side” NO crawfish pies (two white rolls were placed inside as a sub I guess?) and then flavored water with loose sausage pieces floating in it as my “gumbo”. I feel like I was robbed. The food was not as advertised, the service was nonexistent and I regret ever visiting. Never again

Andrew gave the best damn southern hospitality I’ve ever received in any place in baton rouge. The gumbo and chicken stew were the best I’ve had in a while. Definitely will be coming back here.

This place will make you sick unless you have a strong stomach. Many of the workers are just unclean. Then there is the disgusting huge guy that owns it that never washes his hands. The Health Department needs to make a trip there again.

I’ve always thought this places name is funny. Their jambalaya is horrible. Their pastalaya is mediocre on the other hand. I ordered the dinner plate and it said it came with a side of corn and a side of green beans PLUS two additional sides. Well I never got my corn or green beans. The banana pudding serving was the size of a golf ball. Honestly the salad, which was the blandest part was the most appetizing. I’ll have to rethink ordering major menus the next time jambalaya shoppe is the restaurant of the day. Disappointing.

Never again would I over from here. First of all I got the wrong meal, I ordered pastalaya with green beans and potato salad. Other things as well. The man who answered the phone was so rude by the time I got the manager I didn’t even want my problem solved. I don’t like the jambalaya there at all. But I’m hungry and pushing through. This should be longer but it’s not even worth the effort. Just. Never. Ever. Again.
