Nice local joint! My daughter and I are big fried catfish fans and we absolutely appreciate that The Hen House uses full, un-flattened, untrimmed fillets! They’re huge! For our first visit we got a combo to try several items at once. Everything was really good. Not too salty, not greasy, not overdone. The seasoning is mild without being bland. The pepper kick is black pepper, not a chilli pepper, so it will appeal to a wide audience. Prices are definitely reasonable for the portions you get. Will definitely eat here again!

The food was delicious! The chicken was fresh and extra crispy. I will note that the batter taste strong with cayenne so it may clear your sinuses unless spicy is your way of life. The fried okra was hot and crispy! The mashed potatoes were smooth! This southerner approves!

I decided to try this place out today. I was kind of skeptical because of the mixed reviews but it was pretty good. I got the shrimp fried rice and a side of fish. The rice had more vegetables in it than i prefer but tge flavor was there. The fish was not over seasoned, but it does have a kick to it. Overall, I will go back when I have a taste for chicken to try it out.

Got two fish, two chicken and red beans and rice with a side of fried okra. Fish on point. Appreciated the brine on the chicken. Okra needed some seasoning but still good. All were fried very well. Red beans and rice not to my liking but my friend liked it. Would come again for the fish and chicken. The cashier was really nice as well.

My experience at Hen House Chicken & Seafood was not very good. I order through Uber Eats ordered the two-piece fish & two-piece chicken. The only thing I can say about this place is the food is piping hot I don’t know if they’re afraid to use a little salt but it would not hurt. My chicken and Fish had no flavor. It was just piping hot. Will not be returning. I also fed it to my dogs.

I’m from Louisiana and this is NOT Louisiana food! The gizzards and chicken is fried too hard. This is not Louisiana cooking. I ordered gizzards and it was fried too hard and dry. I asked for them to redo it and it was still hard and dry. I Will continue to cook my own juicy delicious food. Maybe they need to change their grease often.

Well the food smelled great had a great appearance but the fish we ordered was extremely salty & over seasoned. I guess if you want high blood pressure this is the place to go. We ordered shrimp & its was good not salty at all. First time customers but prob be the last for us. New place i thought to try, all in all , it wasn’t to my liking. Ordered the 4 piece wing combo. I think the seasoning on the chicken was decent, but it was too much batter on the chicken, that you couldn’t really taste the chicken. Overly battered. The fries were crispy, but were too salty. Was kind of disappointed in the food, but the service was great. Maybe will try another item from the menu, but not sure.
