We strive to find the freshest ingredients and utilize them in a unique way. As a grocer, we are proud to carry a variety of local products in the curated grocery section of our stores. From local confections to craft beer and unique local coffee we actively seek out Chicago based small businesses and local artisans to add to our shelves. Our Goddess got her background in rock n’ roll catering, traveling the globe and feeding some of the most influential musicians of our time.

G&G must have been manifested from my dreams because it’s everything I’ve ever wanted from a boutique grocer-eatery. In a city jam packed with hot dogs + burgers, I searched in vain for an oasis of healthy options. Luckily there are several locations around Chicago, including a bakery; but this store stands out for their excellent staff and selection. Be it soup, salad, or sandwich- there are no wrong choices here. Enjoy the ample servings, made with clean ingredients, without feeling stuffed, but don’t skip dessert. Their famous rainbow cake tastes as good as it looks on social media, but the cookies, cupcakes, and other seasonal sweets are also spectacular. Try the “puppy chow” cookie if you get a chance, and don’t forget to drag yourself out of bed for brunch before 2pm. I promise you won’t regret it!

This place is cozy, you walk in and it gives you the vibe of a local coffee bar. With a variety of healthy options, from light sandwiches to salads. Yummy pastries and sweets going with your hot or cold drinks. Don’t let the look of the first floor deceive your eyes, there is a second floor with a big balcony for sitting and enjoying your either rosé or your matcha tea drink. Enjoy!

Anytime someone visits me from out of town, I bring them here first! They have everything someone could want; from super healthy salads to fresh made pastries. You’ll find unique snacks hard to procure anywhere near Damen and brands you’ve never seen before. Their seasonal drinks are always surprising concoctions of flavors you’d never think to mix. I try something new every time I’m there.

Wonderful experience ordering through an app this morning. I had seen someone suggesting the Thai corn chowder and I knew I needed to try it. Absolutely delicious! Chicken shawarma wrap – FRESHHH, filled with flavor. Crispy breakfast potatoes were still hot! Very friendly and warm service when I spoke to someone on the phone. I needed to select a substitute for a menu item I ordered that was out of stock. They were very kind, patient, and offered me many options, this is the type of service you want when dealing with a situation like this. Lovely experience that exceeded my expectations. Give this place a try!

How is this place even possible? I swear Goddess literally never misses. Every time I eat from there I ask myself “how does a little local chain spot like this taste so damn good.” Also, how are the prices so damn good?? Chicken Club for $12 is healthy AND will pretty much feed ya for the whole day. Their coffee is killer, and their baristas/employees are extremely kind in a place where you would think they could be pretentious. I love how they are health and allergen conscious. Just all around amazing and I’m so glad I have them nearby me for my lunch breaks.

Great selection of different beverages/ drinks. Gourmet selection of many brands that I’m not familiar with. Love to try new things, and this is the place to go. If you go to the back of the store there is a stairwell that takes you to upstairs dining. Great place to get away to eat or drink things purchased at the store.

Popped in for breakfast and a coffee, and to say the least, it didn’t disappoint. The staff was welcoming and in good spirits. The maple bacon breakfast sandwich I ordered slapped! The side is smashed breakfast potatoes were a great accompaniment; they had the best oven roasted crisp on the outside but soft pillowy potato on the inside. The iced almond milk latte hit the spot as well. Oh– and how can I forget the “hidden” rooftop indoor/outdoor dining area. A great place to take in the morning sunshine!

Stopped in to grab a little snack after a great morning of sight seeing. The chicken samosa was just the thing! My sister had the tuna salad and it was also delicious. We enjoyed our break on the balcony and it was perfect.
