My server was nice and barely tentative. Most of the servers and bartenders seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Food was over priced for what you get and was disappointing. My daughter ordered a plain burger with no bells or whistles, just plain and we were charged for a bacon burger at the outrageous price of over $15! My salmon ceasar salad was nothing special and the salmon was mush and squishy. The salad hardly had any cheese on it and when I asked for pepper I was given a grinder that didn’t work. I told my server when he came back to the table that pepper wasn’t coming out he had an excuse and then never returned with pepper, LOL! Wasn’t busy and many servers and bartenders not really caring to give a good dining experience.

The presentation of the dishes was good, and the food was not bad, but the ambiance and service were lackluster. Our server was OK, but she didn’t really engage with us. She seemed to be just going through the motion, which really showed all around the restaurant from the hostess up. I can’t say that I would return bc we didn’t really feel welcomed there… no one seemed genuine. This may sound strange to some, but it’s all in the energy you bring, especially in customer service.

Dad had an appointment in the Eilan Hotel area so we decided to check out happy hour @thegenpublic. 4pm means $4 drinks and bites, then 5pm means $5 drinks and bites.

Came Labor Day weekend for happy hour and had an amazing time with my husband. We had the green chili grilled cheese, buffalo meatballs and daily tots which were all amazing! Abigail was our server she was very attentive and friendly will definitely come again and ask for her. I forgot to ask for the bartenders name but he had blonde hair and made great green tea shots. Love this place!

Love the atmosphere of the place! Great spot to stop for a bite! I had the kung pao lettuce wraps. Super flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The sauce definitely knocks it out of the ballpark. Hubby had the green chile grilled cheese and it was da bomb! Loaded with flavor and definitely messy! I recommend adding the chicken and the bacon. Their fries are crispy! The offspring had the giant pretzel and it was appropriately named! Even his bottomless pit self couldn’t finish it! He had to take half of it home! The cheese that comes with it is a flavor explosion in flavor town! We will be back!

Great happy hour and great food. Our server was great and Christian the GM even came and checked in on my family. If you are looking for a great happy hour that includes drinks and food this is the place. My recommendations are the refreshing tropical spritz and we had the tots of the day which were fire! Keep doing what you guys are doing. We will definitely be back.

4.5 stars. This is a trendy pub/restaurant located in La Cantera. I am surprised that I have never been here before. We tried it during restaurant week, and they have a pretty extensive menu. We ordered off the menu and with the restaurant week menu because we wanted to taste a lot of dishes. The only thing we did not care for was the stuffed mushrooms. They were filled with cream cheese, which was weird. We really liked the chicken meatballs (Korean bbq), spinach and artichoke dip, hot fried chicken (it wasn’t spicy though) and the kung pao lettuce wraps. For our entrees, we had the beef tenderloin with fries, I had the salmon with Asian slaw, and there was an order of fish and chips. I also had a Brownie parfeit that was good and not too swwet. The portions are a good size, and the prices are reasonable. We really enjoyed the staff, the atmosphere, and the food.

Another 1st, never been here, and I Love it. Great atmosphere, great, friendly waitstaff, and great food. The wait for the food was kind of long, but I was not in a rush, and definitely worth the wait. The Ribeye Steak Sandwhich was very tasty, and with those crispy tots, Sooo good. My Girlfreind had the Bacon Burger with a Fried Egg, and fries. She also had a side of the Crispy Brussel Sprouts with the Bacon Jam, and I would definitely get that again. The flavor was wonderful, and Hot, and Fresh. As always try them out, and let me know what you think, and My 2 Cents.

Came for happy hour and wasn’t disappointed in the food. The drinks were good, so was the food. I highly recommend the giant pretzel and the empanadas.
