This restaurant is in the heart of downtown Franklin. It’s in a very old framed maroon building on the Eastside of Franklin Rd. Parking is behind the building and it’s a short walk and a little awkward to get to the entrance in the front of the restaurant on Franklin Rd. The see decor is open and rustic, quite pleasant. There are TV’s galore. All the servers are very friendly and accommodating. Scott the bartender bends over backwards.

Ate outside in the enclosed all seasons dining facility. Be prepared for a abundance of food. Most entrees will serve two. Wednesday is bbq ribs night. Two racks of well prepared ribs easily served three people with enough left over for another another meal.I had the meat loaf with mashed potatoes, gravy. and spinach. Just barely finished half and brought the other half home. Everything was served hot and well presented. A great dinning experience for al.

Staying nearby for work and found this place on Google. Cool place to sit and have a drink but the food was not good. Specifically, we ordered the ribs and bolognese. Under seasoned and underwhelming. Nowhere near the quality for the price point.

Turned away during happy hour, we (4 adults and a baby) wanted to have drinks outside, told there were no outdoor tables available. Not one. As you can see, most of the tables were unoccupied. It is hard to believe that all of these tables had an immediate reservation. Not sure if we were being discriminated against since we have a baby or what but don’t plan on going unless you booked “2 and a half weeks in advance”.

Our waiter was great ! I’m not sure what has happened on the food end. Our past couple of dinners were very subpar. If we are paying out a couple of hundred dollars or more for our hour experience -the food needs to decent. I’m not sure how the grill returns to what it was two years ago, but if it can’t be done right just become the neighborhood watering hole and give up on the dining. Sorry, it is what it is –

I have been a long time customer of Franklin Grill, and time and time again, the bartender has been rude. This time, I came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and the bartender ignored us, said many snide remarks, and gave terrible service. He knew we were celebrating, which was worse. Thankfully, the waiter or busboy who was helping us with the food was much nicer. The bartender only seems to treat the regulars with kindness. For how expensive this place is, this should not be tolerated.
