The Exchange is a whiskey and craft cocktail bar stocked with hundreds of the best whiskeys from all over the world. Welcoming and knowledgeable, our team is committed to the utmost in service and hospitality. We cultivate an upscale environment—without the airs or the dress code. Our story began in 2012, when The Exchange opened its first location in South Bend, Indiana, and in 2020, The Exchange Mass Ave. in Indianapolis welcomed its first guests. Notably, each bar resides in a historic building and part of town within their respective cities. We embrace the history that has shaped these striking spaces.

I have come in a couple times over the past year and this bar is not the same as it once was. I don’t recognize anyone. The service is below mediocre, not welcoming, not inviting, beyond having to wait, while I am patient, there is no reason for an absurd amount of time I’ve waited , the staff does not know how to make basic cocktails. Which I’m left confused on how they’re working there to begin with. Saying they can’t make this or that when I clearly see they have the ingredients to make. Service, terrible. If this is the goal, then you’ve accomplished it passing out nonparticipating awards to everyone that works there to also make guests feel like a burden. It’s a shame what this place has went downhill from a couple years ago.

Below average but it honestly was not my scene. Everything I considered on the menu was grossly overpriced imo. It’s a bar in a old bank and that was odd and difficult to find. Their outdoor signage could certainly use work. Our party of 5 had three different servers and though I told the last one that we were all separate, we were still only brought two checks. It was eventually straightened out but was an unnecessary delay and hassle. I would not recommend.

Was looking for somewhere new to go on Valentine’s Day and found this place! Wow! What a great decision! The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for me and my date! The old fashioneds were amazing along with the charcuterie board that we had! The waitress was also very friendly and wonderful! Another plus was the the history of the building! We will definitely be back! Thanks Whiskey Exchange Bar for a perfect Valentines Day!
