There’s always the easy place to go that’s in town and has decent enough food, but at the end of the day you’re in, your out and it’s just dinner.

Breakfast, included with the price of a room, was a set plate. The first morning, we were offered coffee, orange juice, and served scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast with slices of Melon.

Western hospitality compliments delicious food with great service. The tranquil atmosphere of today belies the terrible strife of the Johnson County War during the 1890s. The goats and other animals outside provide a vignette of western culture, that may enhance your visit.

Great food in a beautiful setting! My wife and I ate several delicious meals here and had a fantastic time viewing the historic property. We had very good steaks and chicken and other dishes. Easy drive just outside Buffalo and near the interstate.

We stopped at the TA Ranch on our way home from a trip west. This was easily one of THE best experiences of our entire trip. The food was simply outstanding; we both had steaks that had us drooling for the next bite. The TA is definitely worth finding, staying, and dining!!

What a wonderful experience! Dinner in the cookhouse of the original homestead in Johnson County, last stand of the Johnson County Cattle Wars. Excellent food, beautiful accommodations and the BEST! people. The dances in the covered outdoor pavilion are the perfect ending to the week. This is a must do while in Buffalo, Wyoming!!

You can’t find a better restaurant in Buffalo than the TA Cookhouse. The steaks are always seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Basque Poutine is worthy of its own meal. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff is professional. 100 stars if I could.

My wife and I just moved to Wyoming and are still appreciating the Bighorns and the foothills. It’s a beautiful place, and that’s the first thing that will strike you as you approach TA Ranch. It’s beautiful here. Pulling up, it’s a bit confusing because none of the buildings in the compound immediately jump out as being a restaurant. We parked three times before deciding where to go. Inside, it looks just like you want it to. It’s spacious, rustic, and homey. I wish the drapes had been open so we could enjoy the view.

The food was excellent! Steaks on the first night and buffalo burgers on the second. Well worth the drive. Live music with a beautiful background of WY mountains to top it off. Highly recommended
