Good place for the over 50 crowd (at least on this particular Saturday night). Generous portions of food and live music, with several draft beers on tap, made for a good time. Scary entrance and exit to the Cats ( as it’s hi-way 17), but we survived and plan to return.

This restaurant has great protentional and it is definitely my kind of place. The food was good but you could tell it was sitting out a little longer than it should have as it was lukewarm when we got it. In fairness they were busy, waitstaff are in short supply and these guys were hustling. May party was in a small corner to the right of the door which was nice as it blocked the live music so we could talk, it would have been nice if the staff looked left or right now and again to see that things were needed, for instance I had finished most of my dinner before I could order another drink. Overall, the live music was great and the atmosphere is amazing. The new owner will get the kinks worked out I am sure and I will definitely be back.

The food was excellent. The brisket melt in your mouth. Excellent service. I would highly recommend this place for family outing.

The farmers salad was good but the st Luis ribs were over seasoned and dry with more cartilage than meat. The fries were way too salty. They got one of our orders wrong and what should have been a quick fix took to the end of the meal and we had to remind the server. The music was way too loud. Other guests also moved their tables to try to escape the noise for a remote chance of a conversation.

The ribs were good but steak and brisket not so much. Had a mushroom cocktail that sounded interesting but wasn’t. We ordered appetizers and the servers seemed surprised when we asked for plates, napkins and silverware. Weird. It’s too bad because the place is a local icon and I’d been wanting to go there for a long time.

They catered a dinner for our event for 50 people—-incredible food, setup service and all the menu items were outstanding—meat, salad, drinks, sides and desserts! Richard was easy to work with and very proud of his staff who stood by while we ate!

Food was decent. Server was good. My biggest gripe is that they charge an additional fee if you pay with credit card, and it is more than 3% which I understood to be the amount the merchant pays to the credit card company.

So yummy! This restaurant is on the side of the highway ️. We stopped here on our way home . We were greeted with some lovely cat statues ❤️ . We walked through the door to be met by air conditioning ( it was at least 100 degrees outside ), quite the welcome I would say. We also heard quite a good song when we came in, called save your tears by the weeknd. We sat down at a nice table for dinner and ate some great food. I got a shirley temple as a drink since they have a full bar. It was extremely good. The food was also really good . I recommend it!

This place has a history and a reputation to keep. Like cats in antiquity and most any cat now, it has aspects to revere and worship, and things that are not quite within convention; and yet work well here –or are a work in progress. What more can one expect from an operation subject to the changing tides of visitors? Whether considering it a pitstop, a proverbial “wine shop” or destination, the genuine humanity that drives it left me feeling more human and connected than when I arrived. May that be for you too.
