First off I want to say I have been going to this restaurant consistently for 4 years now and it hits the spot every time. This place is full of flavor. They tend to go crazy with the sauce which is why it’s very flavorful. Most of their menu is superb but would avoid a couple items.

Pad Thai and Pineapple fried rice one of the best in two. Basil chicken was alright. The food portion was decent and the service was fast and good. Parking is an issue since it’s right off the main road.

Ordered recently from them, and the orange chicken was three tiny pieces of chicken with a lot of just batter deep fried. Very sad, one the worst item on their menu. The Crispy duck was way-way tooo deep fried with parts quite burnt, rather than crisp. Sadly not going to order from here again. Not happy with this past experience.

I placed a to-go order. When I got home with my order, it was missing an item. I called the restaurant to request a refund on the missing item and was told, rudely, we cannot help you because you ordered through “a third party.” I was under the impression that I’d ordered on their website, but even if that were not the case, the restaurant messed up the order. When I asked how we might fix the problem, the person HUNG UP ON ME. I tried calling back, a couple times, but they kept hanging up on me. What? I’d even included a tip in my order, even though it was a pick-up and not delivery, considering struggling local businesses during Covid. Have to be honest, I have NEVER even written a yelp review, but I will never go to this business again. If they had worked it out on the phone with me (even some sort of apology or small partial refund or a future voucher for a side of rice, for goodness sake) we could have resolved this issue privately. Instead, they treated me in a manner I wouldn’t concieve of for customer service and drove me online to make my frustration known. My advice? Avoid this place. The food was overpriced, mediocre, the order messed up, and the customer service RUDE in the absolute extreme!

This is absolutely the best Thai food, and the kindest family owners, that my wife and I have ever encountered. The Pad Thai and Basil Fried Rice are the best I have had anywhere on the planet! We used to live near Arlington and could visit Thai E-Sarn regularly, but we moved 10 hours away. It’s going to be a long drive, but we are going to make it just to get their food (no joke). The family running the restaurant is amazing, and I hope the community is taking care of them and their business during the current crisis. Treat yourself and order some of the take-out from Thai E-Sarn!!! Enjoy!
