I love this restaurant. I’ve gotten takeout many times as well as have eaten indoors. I love the chicken enchiladas, shrimp enchiladas, and the fried plantains. The fried plantain dish was so good that I got a second one to go home with me. Small family owned business with great service.

A friend suggested to try this place, excellent food, the dishes have a great presentation. The chicken breast sauteed in a mushroom sauce, and the salmon and shrimp with wine sauce so delicious! taste even better than we expected. You can hear a very quiet background music that is nice to hear. I like the professional service. Our new favorite restaurant, for sure.☑️

Hidden gem, in plain sight. Dined at Tequila Sunrise on West St. and we can’t say enough about how delicious dinner was. The staff was attentive and provided excellent service.

I’m not sure why it has a 4.5 rating. Food was bland and dry. How can all of these ratings say it’s great food?

Really wanted to like this place but from the jump it was terrible. The salsa they first brought out tasted like pizza sauce. The guac we ordered had a thick long black hair in it. The fajita chicken was so bland I’m almost positive it’s the type of chicken you buy at the store that’s already cooked and you just warm it up. My plate was supposed to come with pico and guac & all it had was a sad salad & a piece of avocado. I didn’t think you could mess up Mexican food this bad. Please do not come here if you enjoy authentic Mexican food.

Located right on West st in Annapolis if you haven’t eaten here you’re missing a gem! The shrimp appetizer was to die for, I ordered cheese and onion enchiladas which wasn’t even on the menu and I’ve ordered them from Vegas to locally and couldn’t believe how good they were! My date ordered the best looking fajita platter I’ve ever seen with ribs that were amazing. And a wonderful strawberry desert. AND very reasonable. My enchiladas platter was only $13! Nothing in town compares and we will now be making this wonderful restaurant our go to from here on. In addition they are following all covid protocols and keeping you safe while presenting outstanding plates of extraordinary food. I can’t recommend this restaurant too much!

Dined in on a Tuesday evening, in town from Indiana while our son is at the Academy. With a name like Tequilla Sunrise you’d think the drinks and food would be on point. Ordered a large peach margarita on the rocks with patron and it came out tasting like lime juice with alcohol. Unbearably sour, and they were out of patron. Sent it back for a tequila sunrise because how can they get that wrong??? It was okay…again too strong. I like to enjoy my drinks not choke them down. Hubby ordered a Jack and Coke, had to go with captains because they were out of Jack. Salsa was watery, queso was okay, guacamole was good and would order it again. I ordered tilapia tacos for my entree and have to say it was really good! My husband ordered a chicken dinner that came with rice, the rice was definitely not Mexican rice as you’d expect. The atmosphere was stuffy with one other table full of older wine drinking women. Was hoping for an authentic Mexican dinner and experience. Instead we got a wanna-be up scale dining experience and choked down most of our drinks and food. For $73 that’s unacceptable. I will also say that they did take off the margarita I sent back without me having to ask.

My wife and I really wanted to like this place since it was close to where we live. However, I can not recommend coming to this restaurant. To start, the place was cold, we had to wear our jackets the whole time. There was no ambience, no music at all. We can just hear other people’s conversations and noises from the kitchen. We waited 10 minutes for burnt nachos and bland chicken. Then, the main course came out, my medium cooked carne asada was shoe leather and my wife’s chicken enchilada had bones in it. We will not be back

Stopped in for an early dinner. I had the salmon stuffed with crab –excellent. The butter sauce was amazing and the veggie side steamed to perfection. I like a spicier salsa, but can’t fault them for that.
