My friends and I went for brunch and we were not impressed with the food at all. A lot of the dishes were dry or just lacking in flavor. We were expecting a lot more based on the prices and the reviews. The service was great, but I can’t recommend this place on that alone. I hope their dinner menu is better, but if you’re looking for brunch, I would pass on this spot. Their chips and salsa were great which gives me hope that their dinner menu might be better.

The food and margaritas were great. The service was lacking. After our food was delivered we didn’t see our waitress again for another 30 minutes. It felt very awkward just sitting around waiting for her to come by (we were outside so we couldn’t just wave her down).

This is probably the best Tex mex place in DFW. Our server was AD! She took awesome care of us. Didn’t rush us ordering and made sure our drinks stayed filled and the food tasted great. 10/10 recommend. Thanks AD!

Update: The food is moderately priced, the service is still exceptional, and the atmosphere is consistently toptier. Definitely a cozy, little find with some tasty dishes. This time we got the The Fajita Quesadillas and yall, they were on a whole other level! They are a huge portion, they definitely don’t skimp on anything, packing them to the core with plenty of meat and cheese. We also got the Passion Ceviche, which was a game changer. If you’re into Ceviche, you absolutely have to try it! My sister got the Beef Fajitas and was pleasantly surprised by the Cilantro Lime Rice that came with it. Overall, this is a fantastic little date night spot for sure and afternoon brunch spot.

Ceviche is nice! Service could use some improvements (we had to ask for napkins and they looked surprised by the request).

“Tejas a swanky new restaurant in Bishop Arts” I wanted to like Tejas. I had seen the dreamy IG pictures and read the Influencer reviews so I had high hopes for Tejas when I made reservations for my birthday. I made reservations for a table of 6 and only 5 of us showed up. We were sat at a front table and the decor was as dreamy as the pictures. Service however not so much. Chips and salsa were on the table when we got there. 3 salsa and 3 chips for what was supposed to be 6 people. It’s reasonable to expect 2 people to share, but it appeared on other tables that each person had a serving and so it felt out of place to have so few on the table. 20 mins in we haven’t received any more chips or salsa so we ask for 2 more salsa so we can each have our own. By the time we got those 2 salsas we had our food and our 3 original bowls were long gone. It wouldn’t have mattered anyway because our chip bowls were empty and never got refilled. Neither did our salsas so our table used the 2 new salsas for our food because it’s tacos, of course you need salsa! It’s a good thing the water is the only thing you won’t run out of at Tejas because you will need it to stay hydrated from all the salt used in what seems like every dish. Salt, salt and more salt. If you need to limit your salt intake, Tejas may not be for you. And just fyi if you’re getting the mini tacos keep in mind you can literally finish them in one bite. Get the 12. Trust me. At the end of the meal a server usual asks if you are interested in dessert. As it happened I was interested in the piñata cake bc it was my birthday and I thought it would be fun but our server never asked if we wanted to order dessert. She also never refilled our chips or salsas, never asked if we needed another drink after our initial one, didn’t ask if we’d like dessert and otherwise never offered any suggestions, small talk, inquiry about the occasion we were celebrating or even a smile. Given our extremely lackluster customer service, I thought it best to save my $9. The last questionable practice we experienced was the mandatory gratuity charge put on our receipts. Not sure when a table of 5 became a “large” group but maybe that explains our servers less than stellar service. She was getting her tip anyway. No need to be nice. Well to that I say: Adios Tejas, this one’s for the birds.

Not our favorite place for Mexican food, but atmosphere is nice! Wish the guacamole tasted fresher. The chips and salsa are tasty. They do have a happy hour which is nice! Drinks are overall good.

I am so happy I tried this restaurant out. Everything from the aesthetics, the service, the drinks and food were all amazing. I ordered one margarita because they were extremely strong (like I like them to be) and I ordered the brisket enchiladas which I highly recommend getting. This place is great to visit alone or on a date so check them out.

Brunch menu is very limited. I had the brisket and egg tacos which were good. I can’t give a 5 star based on the limited brunch menu. Darnell was our server and he was great.
