There has to be some fake good reviews on here because this place was HORRIBLE!! Would NEVER even consider this place again. Food was average I guess. They charged me $1 for a cup of water (for the cup), $2.25 for a small cup of ranch, all without letting me know beforehand that I’d be charged. They were trying to rush me to pay and got upset when I asked what the additional charges were because the invoice was not itemized, like I don’t need to know what all my extra charges were for. The place was dirty and filled with flies. The owner was very rude! They got me for $60 somehow but I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE. First time passing through Lubbock too. Smh

The owner cashier short changed me a dollar. She stated she did not. My friend and I ordered the same menu item but my change was a dollar short. The lady insisted that she gave me 9 dollars even though I was holding up the 8 dollars in change she gave me. She did not appear willing to admit her mistake. I got in my car and drove up to the drive thru. After my insistence that she owed me a dollar, she stated I will not give you a dollar out of the register, but I will give you a dollar out of my pocket. I did not realize at the time she is the owner. I did not agree to the dollar coming from her pocket because I thought she was a regular employee, not an owner. My friend witnessed this and saw that I was still owed a dollar. We will be taking our business to the other Tech Cafe on 50th st. Watch this lady when she gives you change back because it appears she didn’t want to accept she made a mistake. The waitress was very nice. We enjoyed everything except for the attitude of the cashier.

The food at this restaurant is kind of like a way better concession stand with a ton if options. The old café feel of the service and the atmosphere makes it so cozy and the staff are always super friendly. Food comes out QUICK and is always delicious. Breakfast and lunch served all day and is extremely affordable which is important. 2 full meals and some extra snacking foods (like chili cheese tots YUM) is only about $25 or so. That’s how they keep people coming back! Big portions, friendly service, delicious food, not outrageous prices

Sat at the drive thru window for a little bit then when a guy comes to the window he just looks at me, so I tell him my name and when he returns with my food which was a taco plate, an order of 6 buffalo wings, and , 6 mozzarella sticks and a large drink it’s not in a bag but a box !! When I ask did they have bags he says yes like wow no taco sauce ,the rice is dry I remember when coming here and everything was great!! Never again

The atmosphere is about what you expect from a diner. There is definatly some great food here. Fresh is always best. I orded the chili cheese dog and added extras and it was phenomenal. The servers are friendly and it didn’t break the bank. First time here and I enjoyed it a lot, will be going back

Our experience here was nothing short of phenomenal. The atmosphere is great. The employees are happy to serve you. It really feels like a family kitchen. Oh and did I mention that the food is delicious? We’ll definitely be returning here to try more food.

Pros: breakfast was cooked right. Cons: they had a dog they feed outside that comes inside. They had 4 waitresses that could’ve managed the busy dining room better if they were trained properly. Example: when you fill a tables coffee, you don’t just fill your own table, you offer other tables as well = teamwork. Also, when you enter the building, if you’re not from here you don’t know which door to use so we went in through the wrong door that has NO signage stating to use other door (see pics). Overall, might eat here again, but with so many choices in Lubbock, probably won’t.
