This is a small town stable and I get why. Service was awesome , Food was served promptly and was delicious, had fried squash for the first time was truly a delicious delight , if you are in the area must try prices are very affordable and reasonable. 10 out of 10 there was a dinner roll that came with the meal was warm soft and good as gone.

Oh my! We heard about this restaurant and made a stop on a Sunday to the little town of Saint Paul. So glad we did! Service was exceptional and attentive. We had the Sunday dinner special which includes dessert and a drink. One of our party had the baked chicken and it was moist and deliciously seasoned. The green beans were yummy and side salad was fresh. The sautéed cabbage was DEEEEELicious! Catfish was lightly breaded and very flavorful. Also tried shrimp…WOW! Worth the trip just for that! The deserts were sooo good, like your granny made them! Fudge cake to die for, Homemade cheesecake and yellow cake with vanilla icing. Woo-wheee! Tarpackers is a winner!

2nd or 3rd time a member of have family has gotten soup and it failed expectations. Taking a star as being closed on Saturday has got to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of for a restaurant. Saint Pauls barely has anything that’s not a Mexican restaurant or fast food place to start with, but all the rest are closed on Saturday. The only time some of us are off.

The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing like a home cooked meal! The friendliness of the staff complimented our meal perfectly. I can’t say enough good about this lunch experience. We just happened to stop in and although it was their Sunday Lunch crowd, their expedited service made our wait short and worth the time. We were driving through so not likely to have the opportunity to enjoy again however if your reading this, do yourself a favor and eat here!

First time here, literally loved everything about it! Prime Rib, fries, fried mushrooms, strawberry pie, it was all fabulous. I ate like I was going to the electric chair!! Owner came out and spoke with us, friendly waitress. Shout out to the kitchen manager Barbara for such unique and tasty dishes!! We will definitely be back and tell others about it.
