They were having some difficulties with the cashier showing up in the morning and we had to wait quite some time to talk to someone. However that was not their fault and they tried to do the right thing and provide us with good service. Amazing people. The place is big and seems like it would have a good ambiance.

So this was interesting. I almost didn’t come in because I thought they were either closed or nobody comes here because it’s terrible. Not the case. The service was awesome – Friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh hot and delicious. I got the edamame without salt and the veggie lo mein. Both were wonderful. I was literally the only one in here eating except for a few people that walked in for togo orders. This place is enormous and so much underutilized space. I was here at 5pm on a Sunday and the bar wasn’t being used and every single table was empty. It was clean and the food was good so I don’t quite understand why it is so desolate. Oh and they do not serve sushi – even though the menu has it listed. A sign on the counter explains that they no longer make it.

Solid combo fried rice! Seriously. While eating this for lunch, it reminded me of my childhood. Interior was very clean and owner was friendly too. Pricing is in line with the area as $15 to $20 per person is what you can expect to spend.

I’ve been here a few times now, and I absolutely love every bao I’ve tried! They have some interesting flavor combos, like the Philly cheese and fried catfish, but my absolute favorites are the BaoZi, which are the original closed buns. The ramen is lacking in flavor, but I had low expectations. This place is massive, so I’ve never had trouble finding a seat. It’s order-at-the-counter so there’s no wait staff. I do appreciate how spacious it is. If you’re looking for an introduction into bao, this is a good start!

The place itself was designed very brilliantly, with nice staff to go with it! Not only that, the portions are large and made professionally. They even serviced us with extra knives and plates to cut the cake, since I celebrated my birthday party here with my friends.

Absolutely loved the place, it was so nice and organized. I got the tonkatsu soup and the broth was so damn delicious! I was actually surprised with how tasty the broth was. For sure will come back for that ramen again!

Take a Bao has some really good Chinese food. The service is quick. The place is huge. Staff are nice and welcoming. The soda machine was off and sodas did not taste exactly like they are supposed to. I hope they got that fixed.

My husband & I come to Dallas every memorial weekend for a flag football tournament for the last 4 yrs. And every time we are in Dallas, we ALWAYS stop by here! Sucks they don’t have sushi any more but their bao buns are freaking delicious and they serve my favorite pork belly tankatsu!!! And I never forget to pick up their Boba milk tea if you are looking for a good local place to eat, DEFINITELY HERE!!!
